Floral Frida

Hi Everybody!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

For Tag Tuesday I have another tag. It was put together digitally, using hand-painted papers for the background and a photo of Frida Kahlo, one of my favourite artists. The flowers are from Serif:

And some more pictures from last Sunday's walk....After leaving the botanical garden we drove to the Rhine and crossed over with the ferry. The first 3 pics were taken by my friend H:

After arriving in Orsoy, a tiny, walled town, the first thing we saw was this bee house, which can be opened to look into it:

We walked along the old walls under the trees:

There was an old cemetery outside the walls:

This group of homing pigeons was flying loops:

Loved the colourful cow:

An old 'Lore' - a wagon for pulling coals in the mine:

The view over to the cooling-tower on the other side:

We found a shady seat outside a wayside cafe and were able to have refreshments and watch what was going on in the little town:

And the crows watched us to see if they could beg some food:

The rest of the photos will follow in my next post!

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. Frida certainly lived up to that phrase. Your tag is lovely and I can't think of a better person I would like to honor.

That bee house is wonderful. It's great to see bees are doing well. I haven't seen a bee in YEARS.

LOVELY photos of the cemetery and I enjoyed the lane with trees on both sides. I see people in Germany are smart enough to know which side of the road to drive on (grin)! Hope your day is going well, dear.

  7. Stunning tag. I enjoyed the walk today. So cool that you could get a peek inside the beehive. It was good to see so many bees. I haven’t seen many this year. Very sad. I love the mix of old and new along your walk. Old buildings, machinery, and then the modern cooling tower. Lovely graves with the green things growing. Have a good day.
