T stands for a new challenge at Tag Tuesday

Hi Everybody!

On Tuesday we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday -
autumn and/or Halloween.
Tags of all formats are welcome, and I look forward
to seeing your creations in the next 2 weeks.
And good news - we have a new DT member, the very
talented Sandie of Somewhere to be me,
so welcome on board!

I made 2 tags, one for Autumn and one for Halloween, but
you could also combine both themes in one tag.
The first tag was made using a Mucha image from Gecko Galz
on a painted background. I added lots of gold leafing, some
real leaves which were embossed with gold EP, bits and
bobs of fibres, beads  and a sunflower:

This tag was made from a spare bit of card, which I gave a
quick coat of paint. I stamped the hat, which, broom and cat twice,
once directly onto the card, and once using Stazon on to
acetate, and placed the images over each other to
give more depth. The bat is a die-cut, the other pieces are
from my stash. I sewed the tag onto a recycled BG:

Tuesday is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday
so I would like to give a warm welcome to all
of the nice ladies of the T Gang.

We had wonderful weekend weather, and I was able to
sit outside for my Sunday coffee:

Monday morning started off hazy, with just a tiny sliver of moon
high up in the sky:

and thanks a lot for coming by!

More from the autumn fairy

Hi Everybody!

We are enjoying a few days of wonderful weather here,
truly a 'golden October', so I've been getting out as much
as possible to make the most of it. I managed to finish my
autumn fairy. It is an A3 mixed media piece using the
home-made leaves I showed in my post here.
I am linking to Elke's lovely 'landscape of my soul'
theme at Art Journal Journey, and to Simon
Monday Challenge, anything but a card.

And some more autumnal photos fromThursday's trip to
Kaarster Lake. I found another fairy garden full of
tiny toadstools:

The play of light and shadow on the water always
fascinates me:

Berries galore:

The moon will guide you....

Hi Everybody!
This week has been busy and gone by really quickly.
Yesterday I went on an outing with my buddy G
to Kaarster See, a lake with glorious paths all round
to walk along and enjoy the scenery. When we got back
here I baked waffles, which we enjoyed with vanilla
ice-cream and coffee - yummy!

For Elke's lovely 'landscape of the soul' theme at
Art Journal Journey I made a hybrid piece using photos and
elements from me and Serif:

We had good weather for our trip yesterday. It takes about an hour to
walk around the lake, and was very enjoyable. The lake is in an old
gravel pit with a surface measurement of  645834.60 square feet.

The masts at least ensure a good telephone reception:

The swans were swimming on the other side of the lake. When we got
there, they had moved over to the other side again....

I loved this fairy garden in the rotting
tree stump:

Light and shadow give great effects:

More photos to come!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
