Hi Everybody!
I seem to have lost the last week, I think I must have fallen down a hole like Alice, but didn't meet any rabbits or drink tea! It was just a week to forget!
On Friday I will be linking to Nicole's FFO and Gillena's AFFF:
I'm starting off with photos of Heike taken today, we went out for a meal, which was, as you can see, very good. I brought half of mine home with me, so tomoroow's meal is ready and waiting! Here she seems to be very happy with her food:
This is a very old one, the picture got stuck in the printer and came out striped, I love it!
And thanks a lot for coming by!
Sounds like a wonderful time out. Love the street art. Huggs, Me.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, have a great week!

Thanks so much, Jan. Have a great weekend!
DeleteIt sounds like you had a lovely meal out with Heiki, and it does look yummy. And I like you latest face and those long gold eyelashes. That one stuck in the printer did come out cool. It's always the accidents that lead to interesting art, isn't it? And I've never seen your self portrait before. Very nice. I hope you have a super Friday and weekend ahead. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks! Strange how accidents like that can be so good! I forgot all about my self portrait! Hugs, have a great weekend!

DeleteGood morning, Valerie: It’s very encouraging to see you out with Heike and to see Heike enjoying her meal with such obvious delight. Little wonder - it looks delicious. I very much enjoy the self-portrait from a few years ago. The piece about reading the story of Anne Frank is both poignant and disturbing. In this age of disinformation, and politicians who make a career from lying, and continue to do it with impunity, we have to be very vigilant. Aritificial intelligence is not going to help us in the battle either. Anti-semitism in general is spiking around the world, and other manifestations of the hatred one human group feels for another are evident everywhere. These are very perilous times. Stay well. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteOh yes, we are living in disturbing times, and it scares me. People seem to get more and more violent and intolerant, and I hope and pray that things will get better, but can't really believe it. Look after yourself dear David, big hugs xxxxxxxxxx

Danke, liebe Traude, glad you enjoyed my selection. Sorry I'm not around much these days, I hope things will get better after the next stay in hospital! Hugs!
Delete...Valerie, your quick piece is a beauty, what lashes. Being a cat is a tough life!!! Take care and be well.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom. Cats and dogs are endangered these days!
DeleteHappy Friday to you!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Gene!
DeleteWhat a wonderful post, filled with lots to see and think about. So glad you got out with Heike to dine together. I love your self portrait as well as the Anne Frank story.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol, have a great weekend!
DeleteJust love your food pics. Heike's dish looks great! Your faces (the art) look very nice.
ReplyDeleteThe food at the restaurant is always good! Happy weekend!
DeleteLoved everything on your post today! "Take all you want of the cookies because God is watching the apples" is my favorite. I wish my "quick art" was even half of what you do. It is marvelous.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, that is a wonderful idea. I will be thinking of it everytime I see some cookies!
DeleteLove the post! Smiled a lot.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings
Thanks Jim! Hope all is well with you! Hugs!
DeleteHi Valerie Traude has sent me here to read your memes Love the Anne Frank meme It ties in with The third wave experiment. I had to laugh at the apple one. Very clever. I love your art. Especially the one you made last week Its beautiful. Great colours as well. That food looks delicious.
ReplyDeleteWow! Since we have known each other through blogland, I have always been so impressed with you imagination and artistic creations. You are amazing. Ahhh that food looks soooo good. Great funnies but the story of Anne Frank well the meme is excellent. Thank you for sharing it all with FFO. Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteHeike's food looks delicious! I'm glad that you are out and about again.
ReplyDeleteThe poortrait painting is lovely, I love those delicate eyelashes - such a wonderful idea. Your self portrait is lovely as well, I really like it. I also like all your funnies and memes, the God watching one is hilarious, but what really stuck with me was the Anne Frank one. So important in our current disturbing times when entire groups are blamed for everything, hate is stoked and people are being intimidated. It is really scary and I often wonder whether we will get ever overcome it. I sure hope so, but I'm torn between hope and doubt. Nevertheless - have a lovely weekend, Valerie. Hugs - Carola
Lots of thngs to love here but what I love most is that you are feeling better and that "better" means you were able to get out and have lunch with Heike! (And dinner today -- that's an enormous portion!) Keep on getting stronger!
ReplyDeleteLove your faces and that feather choker is clever. So glad you got to go out with Heike, who does look quite happy! XOX
ReplyDeleteLunch with Heike sounded wonderful ~ good for the soul ~ lots of creative work here ~ favorite is the signature girl artwork ~ always divine ~ hugs,

Lovely artwork, pretty lady with the feather at her throat and what an exciting happening was that with the stuck printer. Great results, yes, I too like what happened.
ReplyDeleteSome very good thinkies in here, definitely food for thought. Enjoyed all the additions to your post from when you went out with your friend. Hope this is a sign you are feeling a bit better.
Hugs, Neet xx
