Hi Everybody!
Today I am joining in the fun at Nicole's FFO and at Gillena's AFF.
I hope you all had a great week and wish you all a relaxing weekend. I am slowly feeling a bit better, but haven't got much done - I think of all the things I should be doing and then curl up in my armchair and read or listen to books..... I hope that sooner or later I will get a bit more acive.
Today I have some faces from my piles which are mostly waiting to be sorted. The first four is a set of faces done in similar colours and styles:
his is on my kitchen next to my coffee machine:
And a few older creations:
Bad cat smuggled himself in again:
A movable face:
That's all for today, keep well and stay safe,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
Hi Val, nice post and pictures as always . We had a chaotic week, shopping for this and that, and my daughters spent an incredible amount of time trying clothes on and standing in front of mirrors and taking Handy photos etc! I hope you are feeling better and taking good care of yourself. Hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah. Shopping with kids is a real trial, I know it! Hugs to all!
DeleteLovely art Valerie! Fun coffee meme! -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, have a great week! Hugs!
DeleteGlad to hear you are feeling better, go easy, the older we get the longer we take to get over things. So what if someone calls and the floor needs sweeping? I always say if you want to see the house make an appointment. If you want to see me drop in any time.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore your first four faces, I think they are my favourites of all your work!
Hugs, Deb
Thanks Deb, I know what you mean. As soon as I'm feeling better, something eöse crops up! My place is as it is, if people want to come, they're welcome, but people who think it's not clean and polished enough can stay away! Stay as well as possible, hugs, Valerie
DeleteNothing wrong with a good book and rest Valerie and as always I love all your faces, some crazy, some serious, some beautiful..have a great weekend...
ReplyDeleteluv CHRISSYxx
Thanks Chrissy, I paint whatever is in my head - nothing else. Hugs, Valerie
DeleteLove all the fabulous faces, good to hear you are feeling better, but rest and a good book never hurt anyone and you must need the rest, the housework will still be there when you are able.
ReplyDeleteCarol x
Thanks Carol. I am really resting a lot, and reading is always great. Have a lovely day, hugs!
DeleteI do like all of your faces you've shown here.
ReplyDeletePleased to read you are feeling a little better, but always take time to rest when you need to.
All the best Jan

Thanks Jan. I am resting a lot. I hope you are doing well. Hugs
DeleteI'm happy to hear you're improving - even if it's a bit slower than you want. Improving is a good thing and just get all the rest you need and hopefully you're on track for better days ahead. Great faces and expressions and I agree with the cat! Coffee is the best! Take good care.
ReplyDeleteYes, it reminds me of my cat. She always did exactly what she wanted. We need to be more like that! Hugs!
DeleteI never tire of looking at your face art. So lovely. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Judee! Hugs!
DeleteRick keeps reminding me there are days when you can do things and days when you can't and not to beat up on myself. I hope you have already taken his advice! I'm just glad to see you posting and sharing and delighted to hear you are feeling better! I'm enjoying all the art you share!
ReplyDeleteSomd days I just read or listen to books. We need these rest days. Listen to Rick. Hugs!
DeleteI'm not sick but all I've felt like doing lately is sitting and reading or listening to books, but I have no excuse so I have to talk myself into doing other things. Winter hibernation mode has hit me. I hope you continue to improve because I know you'd be busy if you felt up to. I enjoy seeing all your faces. I really like the movable face and the big green eyed one below it. I hope you have a lovely relaxing weekend. hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI think this winter hibernation mood is telling you to slow down and rest more. You have done a lot these past weeks and months. Look after yourself Hugs!
DeleteYou are certainly the only person I know, Valerie, who has a pile of faces! Some people are two-faced, but you are not content with that, a whole pile of them is your thing! Of course, they are all very splendid, unique, some adorable, some mildly threatening, but always interesting. It seems that you are feeling a little better and I hope that trajectory continues. If a little winter hibernation is called for that’s okay too. Speaking of winter, it has finally arrived here. Yesterday when I went out it was minus nine degrees, which is really not that cold, but there was a fierce wind and that brought a chill to exposed skin. Better be sure not wear shorts again! I must go and fill my coffee cup. It’s always the right thing to do. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteYes, I really have piles of faces, for every mood a different one, and today I made 2 more....A friend was here this afternoon so we had a good natter. It's very cold. here today. I'm glad to be home where it's warm. Have a great weekend, hugs to you and Miriam xxxxxxxxxx
Delete...I love, love, love your lovely ladies!!! Enjoy a Merry Christmas season.
ReplyDeleteThanks Tom, glad you like them! Hugs!
DeleteI guess the best of the lot is the full faced lady with the multi-colored hair. Very nice.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I have a neighbour who also has multicoloured hair, I'm too lazy to do things like that. Have a great weekend. Hugs!
