New challenge at Tag Tuesday

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and this time our lovely and talented Sandie is hosting. She helps a lot with the admin etc, too, for which I am very thankful.

She has chosen  Holidays /Travel as her theme, very fitting for this time of year when many people go on vacation. As always, you have 2 weeks to link to us, and tags of all formats are welcome.

I chose Paris as my theme, as that's always a great place to spend some time. The first one has a stamped background, which was layered and sewed. The small pictures are from Crafty Individuals:

The second tag is made with an imge from gecko Galz which was stamped with stamps and stamps! This was also layered and sewn:

This one was a scan, so the colours are paler:

We have had ver changeable weather, from super hot to wild and stormy:

The evening sky:

And some funnies:

Have a great week, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  1. Both of your tags are adorable. I love the sewing on the muted one and the images you chose on the other one. They are both lovely.

Your leak is hilarious, but the cat in the pot is adorable. And of course, Charlie Brown always knows what to say.

  6. Good morning, Valerie: The closest I have come to Paris in recent years has been to making connection flights at Charles de Gaulle airport. I am not a fan of cities but I could probably enjoy a week in Paris. That's where I had my first glass of wine and for that I shall be forever grateful it was the start of a love affair that has never let me down! And when I see that sultry, provocative woman on your tag, I remember that there are other reasons to visit too! One of the biggest disappointments for me was a visit to the Louvre. I was swept along with the crowd, stopping briefly at a picture here or there, understanding nothing of any of them, and seeing so many it became a blur. It was like trying to listen to all of Beethoven's symphonies in one sitting and trying to pick out the niceties of composition and phrasing in each one, without being able to pause the music and moving on from crescendo to dimuendo, from adagio to allegro without any connectivity at all, until it all just become noise. If ever I were to go back there, I would research several works in advance and focus on them only, and I would pick the foulest day of the year so that most people would stay at home and the galleries would not be crowded. One of my memories too, was that in those days it seemed that every woman vied with another to have her perfume permeate the air, and the smell was quite awful, achieving the exact opposite of that which was intended. My word, I have digressed! That's quite enough for now. Hugs and kisses for Tuesday! David

    1. Yes, the museums are always crowded, and it is hard to see anything. It's really an overkill experience. As you say, just looking at a few things in depth is surely beter. Bur Paris has lots of birds - pigeons which poop on you everywhere, and cheeky little sparrows who steal the food from your plate! And don't get me thinking about sultry women who might be tickling your fancy! And wine - yes, I'm sure you wouldn't pass it by in the bars and cafés. Have a great day, BIG hugs!

    2. A glass of wine at an outdoor café in Paris, with fresh bread and cheese, is one of life's greatest treats of all. It is almost beyond compare!

  7. I've been thinking about Paris constantly, and reading several books set there, because the blog event "Paris in July" is about to start its 14th annual happening. It's sponsored by Tamara at https://thyme-for-tea.blogspot.com/ and Deb at Readerbuzz. So I enjoyed your little memories.
