This, that and the other for Friday

Hi Everybody!

It's a cold and blustery autumn day here, but I still enjoyed my walk, well wrapped up against the chill winds and rain.

Today I have  12" x 12" mixed media journal page to share, and another tag for Tag Tuesday, both with my fave theme of autumn. I am linking to Paint Party Friday,  Simon Monday Challenge, monochrome, and Simon Wednesday challenge, anything goes. I used a lot of my nature bits and pieces and other flying objects from my work space:

The tag has been made with an image from Gecko Galz, which I printed onto canvas. I sewed it some coordinating matting and added some pretty leaves gathered at the market square and some straw. I am linking to Tag Tuesday
Our theme is autumn /Halloween:

Sunrise, full moon and everything between

Hi Everybody!
As always, time is flying, and I  have the feeling that I never get everything I would like to done. On the other hand, the next day always comes with new chances. We had good weather today so I had a nice, long walk this morning and visited a friend this afternoon. In between I even got some crafting done. It was just the housework that had to be put off for another day....

I had fun making a corn dolly for a tag for our autumn / Halloween challenge at Tag Tuesday. In pre-Christian times people believed that the corn (grain) spirits had no place to go after the crops had been harvested, and corn dollies, also called corn mothers  were made to appease them. I used to make them with the kids at school when I was teaching in England, and decided to make an autumn tag with one. The dolly was made of straw, given plaited hair and arms, and decorated with some ears of grain and flowers. The tag is 10", made from recycled Amazon packaging onto which I sewed some mirri-card:

And I have another journal spread to share:

I am linking to Paint Party Friday, hosted as always by Eva and Kristin, and to Paper-Babe challenge blog, stars.
