Hi everybody!
It's Saturday again, so time to link up to Manon's 'Paper Saturdays'.
The challenge at Moo-Mania is travel, and at AJJ it's 'less is more', so I made a travel moo and fitted it onto a journal page. Not very original, but my brain seems to be programmed just for autumn at the moment.... But I do like the quote from Anais Nin.
And I made another Autumn tag, using more of my home made painted, die-cut and crackled leaves. The sentiment has been prnted onto a transparency. I made a whole pile of them last year, and discovered them in one of my numerous bit-boxes, so decided to use one. The background has been distressed with rusty screw, wild honey and peeled paint and then spritzed with water. The leaves were stamped with a Lavinia leaf set, and the vintage scrap is from my stash. I gave it a coat of crackle varnish.
I am linking the tag to Tag Along Challenge #5, Autumn glory and to FSC - colours of autumn
Have a great weekend, take care, and thanks a lot for coming by!
The colors in this awesome tag really pop! I love it--and both the sayings, too.

ReplyDeleteWow what a lot to see ! Love your art journal pages with the beautiful Moo's. Also your Fall tag is beautiful with the gorgeous leaves.... have a great Sunday, Shirleyx
ReplyDeleteThe colors of Autumn are indeed the most glorious and the colors of Halloween are the most fun! Your Autumn tag looks like a cornucopia of color. What exactly is a Moo and did you make one Moo or two? And what else would you do with a Moo but put them in an art journal. I like your Moo (or Moos) and your journal page is delightful!
ReplyDeleteI picture you now, walking along the Rhine and enjoying the crisp Autumn weather knowing that snow is not far behind. For me, this beats the sweltering heat any day. I also loved it when you posted a picture of your homemade soup -- yum!

The travel piece is very interesting and great colours though I'm not sure what a MOO is - I was expecting to see a cow on it, taking life literally as usual! You have such skill in arranging elements to give a pleasing and balanced design.
ReplyDeleteOh my! striking Autumn tag! loved your creativity to make these embellishments-on tag!
