Tuesday this and that

Hi Everybody!

Hope your day is going well!

For Art Journal Journey, inspired by autumn colours, I made another
hybrid journal page. The background has been collaged, painted and scanned.
The lady and the statue are both from June at Dezinaworld, and the curtain from Itkupilli. June showed a painting on her blog as inspiration for a challenge, and I digitally cut the lady out, turned her round, and placed her in the picture, so I am also linking to June's challenge.

Our theme at Tag Tuesday these week is 'secrets'.
My tag was distressed and stamped with DIs before using a stencil to write the quote from Benjamin Franklin. I love his black humour!

Today is also Elisabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so hello to all the T Gang.
Michelangelo's David is once again in the centre of interest. I wanted to invite him for coffee, but he turned up with his tea-egg and said he prefers tea. The coffee cup was digitally removed from one of my photos and placed on the hybrid page. The twigs and leaves are from Algeradesign. Anyway, help yourselves to coffee and Amarettinis!

I always enjoy the hour before sunrise, even though I sometimes wish I could sleep a bit longer.

I love the shadows on the wall when the sun shone through the window:

These huge and heavy chunks of masonry are still on the shore directly under the castle ruins where they have been for more than 2 centuries:

Autumn is still showing her colours, but most of the leaves are now on the ground.

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Autumn colours

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all had a good start in the new month.

For Art Journal Journey, inspired by autumn colours, I have a hybrid piece to show today. The background has been painted and then scanned. The nude is also one of my drawings, and the horse is a photo, which I changed to blue as I thought of Franz Marc. The armchair, birds and head are digital additions.

For Elisabeth's '2nd on the 2nd' I am re-showing a face made for autumn some years back. It was drawn with India ink, and coloured with  prismalos and a water pen. I am also linking to Kim Dellow's 'Show your face'

The horse's red coat makes a nice contrast to the trees.

A little visitor to the castle:

I love the red creeper:

The new railings are almost finished and some of the benches are back:

Sunset at the Rhine is always beautiful.

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by

Inspired by Autumn colours - New Challenge at Art Journal Journey

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at
Art Journal Journey

-Inspired by Autumn Colours-

I hope to see lots of you joining in, using the beautiful colours which autumn shows us. Susi Fröbelsternchen is our hostess this month.

I made an A3 mixed media page. The centre part is a hybrid page, using one of my old documents as background. I stenciled the TH clock and cogs, the butterfly on the right is a mod-podge transfer and the other elements were added digitally. I painted the edges of the paper in warm, Autumn colours and stenciled over it using various stencils with rusty hinge DI.
I am also linking to Moo Mania and More, autumn colours.

I made a collage of autumn photos to get you in the right autumn mood and give you some inspiration.

And some more photos from today's walk:

This little boy was having a whale of a time jumping up and down in the leaves and throwing them up into the air:

Halloween and the last day of Architecture

 Hi Everybody!

Today is the last day of the Architecture challenge at Art Journal Journey, and as usual, I have made a collage of all the pieces I made this month. For many of them I made a trip down memory lane and used photos of the places where I have lived at various times. Do call back tomorrow to see the new theme!

This is the last of my A3 journal pages. The wall in the centre is a photo taken near the Rhine. The window and spiders were added digitally. I fussy cut some little spooks and let them fly around, and added some leaves, natural and embossed with Frantage.

We have had good weather for several days, so I have been able to enjoy my walks.

In spring the shores of the Rhine are planted with blue crocuses from one end of the town to the other. They seem to have got a bit muddled, and are blooming among the autumn leaves:

Somebody had picked 2 and laid them here:

We had another beautiful moon and a cold and starry night:

Have a great day you all, happy Halloween, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
