Hi Everybody!
Sorry I have been MIA once again. I have not been feeling good, perhaps caused by new medication, I am just exhausted from doing nothing all day and need to be in bed by 9 p.m. at the latest. Thanks to those who sent good wishes, much appreciated. And I'm not giving up the hope that things soon get better!
Today we had grey skies all day, and got a lot of snow, which is rare here. And yes, I know what we call a lot of snow here is nothing like the huge amounts that fall in other places!
Some thinkies, funnies etc:
Yesterday morning I looked out and saw all these birds gathered in the tree in front of my window:
At the beginning of the week we had sun:
I have been trying to do some art when I have the energy, but most things are not finished:
This one - the face of night - is actually finished:
I will be linking my faces to Nicole's FFO and Gillena's AFFF.
Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
So sorry to read that you haven't been feeling very well Valerie. Of course with all that snow, it looks like it would be a good time to go to bed early with a good book or even sleep. Whether someone feels good or not. It's important to get some rest, but hopefully you'll feel better to make some art soon. Hope the weather improves. hugsErika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika! Yes, when it's dark so early I like to go to bed and read or listen to an audio book, so lovely!
DeleteSo sorry you are not well Valerie, will be thinking of you. Nice work forvthe challenges and thanks for the thinkies -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine, I have been saving funnies these past two weeks!
DeleteHow wonderful to be able to create such wonderful paintings. Love the funnies and all the photos of the snow. I have not seen snow in many years. Hope you start feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Judee. I am not really a snow fan, but it does look pretty! Hugs!
DeleteI hope you feel better soon. I would also call that a lot of snow, though, I consider pretty much any snow to be a lot. Too much, really.
ReplyDeleteYes, snow is mostly too much! Hugs!
DeleteThe first "real" snow is always pretty and a treat. (Then comes the rest of winter.) I'm sorry you're not feeling well and hope that they can regulate the medication and that you feel better very soon. Don't worry about missing -- resting is essential. Hoping you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteYes, snow is nice when it's fresh and white, but as you say, the rest of the winter comes.....
DeleteHi Val, lovely to see you posting again, and I'm glad you are feeling better. But please don't overdo things, take it slowly by slowly. Your art is beautiful, as always. Hugs from us all, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, hugs to all of the family!
DeleteGlad to see you back again, Valerie. You have had more than your share of sickness and ill health over the last few years. Too bad we couldn’t all take 5% percent of it from you. Then you would be healthy and we’d only suffer a minuscule amount of misery. Your time was used well when you felt up to painting, and the lovely ladies bear your characteristic flair. Even half finished they have allure. The birds that flocked to the tree outside your window no doubt came to wish you well and hope for your return to “good” health. Today, I am going out to buy all the ingredients for a chicken stew I make at this time of the year. It is really delicious and filled with goodness. Can you only imagine if I lived close by and could deliver a bowl to you. It might not contribute to a recovery, but at the very least would be a tasty dinner. And we could sit for a while and gab. And when you were tired I would leave gracefully, with the promise of a return with other hearty treats. Sometimes the miles between us are frustrating in the extreme. All I can do it send you virtual hugs and kisses. Real ones would be so much better. David
ReplyDeleteChicken stew sounds wonderful, I really wish we lived nearer! The birds which visit my balcony are always hungry, and if there's nothing left, they start protesting! Hugs to you and Miriam! xxxxxxx
DeleteGood morning, I am so hoping you will feel better with more energy soon. I enjoyed your art and memes. It is very early here Thursday morning and the winds are howling so the house is cold. The first snow is always so pretty. healing thoughts Hugs Kathy

Someone asked me what the word 'thinkies' meant.....and if I had made it up.
DeleteSo lovely to see this post from you.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to read you have been under the weather (as the saying goes), and possibly the new medication causing a few problems (hopefully that will settle down soon). Sending lots of positive thoughts to you and hoping you start to feel a lot better soon and your energy levels increase.
As a doctor friend of mine always says ... don't worry too much about what you can't do just enjoy what you CAN do!
I certainly enjoyed seeing your photographs, that was a lot of birds in the trees.
Great collection of funnies/thinkies and the art you shared looks good to me :)
Take care
All the best Jan

Thanks so much, Carol, always lovely to hear from you! Have a great weekend! Hugs!
DeleteSorry to hear you have been unwell, hope they get the medication sorted and you feel better soon. Love all the snow pics as long as it stays on pics lol. We have had a light scattering but bitterly cold and our boiler stopped working, so we were a freezing cold day without hot water or heating, bed and a good book are the best if you feel unwell.
ReplyDeleteCarol x
Thanks Carol! A daz without heating or hot water sounds very nasty! It~s still very cold here, I am not a fan of winter! Happy weekend!
DeleteI'm sorry you have been feeling poorly. Yes, tired from doing nothing, that is how lupus hits me too. Great photos of the snow. I love your faces. Great lips. Thank you for joining FFO and have a very nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nicole, you have a great weekend, too! Hugs!
DeleteSorry to hear you’ve been feeling so wiped out—new meds can be rough. Hope your energy picks up soon! Your “face of night” looks amazing; it has such a serene vibe. And that snowy scene with all the birds is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSending good vibes your way! Take care and rest up. 😊
Thanks so much Veronica, happy weekend! Hugs!

DeleteHi Valerie, I'm sorry that you are not feeling well. I really hope things WILL get better for you and you gain back your energy. Your artwork, even though unfinished, is beautiful. Snow - well, I guess it won't stay, as you say it's rare in your area. I just came back from four weeks in Europe and I miss it so much. All the best, hugs - Carola
