Hi Everybody!
Here it's still hot and steamy, and no sign of it letting up yet. And it is not really the week to be having 2 dental operations either, but I have to see it through and hope that things will soon get back to normal.
I made some more hand-carved stamps at my group and they are all I have to show this week for PPF.
The birds are about 4 1/2" high:
I made a cat like this many years back with a linocut, and decided to make a smaller one this time (3 1/2" across) so I can use it on cards etc:
Here I printed it onto some DP:
Some photos taken out and about here in the past weeks:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
Lovely stampwork, and your photos are stunning, enjoyed the flowers.
ReplyDeleteHi Val, good morning! You are up very early. I'm just sitting enjoying a cuppa before I wake the kids and the madness of the day begins.... Love the new die-cuts. That cat has a magnificent grin, reminds me of Alice! The birds are gorgeous, too. Lovely photos, as always. Good luck with today, take care, and get plenty of rest! Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteHi lovely lady, wow you have some beautiful photos today, love them and the vibrant colours. Lovely stamping, really artistic...x[aussie aNNie blog]
ReplyDeleteDental work is no fun, so I feel for you. I hope all goes well.
ReplyDeleteThe birds are cute, but I really, really LOVE the cat. It speaks to me.
Great photos today, too. I especially like that small private garden in the last photo.
Thinking of you with your dental ops Valerie, be brave!
ReplyDeleteLove your hand carved stamps, the Cat has such a cheeky grin rather like the Cheshire Cat from Alice in wonderland. Everything seems to be thriving in the heat but it’s good to have a rainy day to cool and refresh everything, hope it comes soon.
Take care & brave Hugs Tracey xx
More brilliant hand made stamps Valerie and gorgeous flowers and photos.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about the dental ops - hope its over soon.

More cool stamps Valerie. Question. How do you cut their overall shape so they aren't part of a block? Do you use a knife or scissors? You have been inspiring me to try some, but I don't quite know how to get the outer edges. The flowers are beautiful too. Hope you are having a wonderful day. Hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteI scrape away about quarter of an inch all round the object with one of the cutting tools, and then use sharp, small scissors to cut it out.
DeleteYou really have a gift for carving stamps I like. The birds are fabulous but so is the cat, and I love the different ways you have used them. They really pop on that paper.
ReplyDeleteAs always your photos are fabulous. That wisteria makes my heart sing and I loved the Jubilate work on that building.
Your stamps are amazing. Love the birds and especially the kitty face. The ducks and beautiful flowers don't seem to mind the hot weather. The garden with the gnome peeking out made me smile, too. Good luck with the dental surgery.
ReplyDeleteOMG. Lilacs and ducks. Life is good:)
ReplyDeleteYou had some beautiful photos today, as always. And I love, love, love the stamps.
Take special care of yourself.
