Weekend post

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend - enjoy! 

After a very warm October today was really cold. Okay, it's November, so I'm not complaining - time to get my winter clothes out of the closet!

Today I am sharing some pieces from bygone times. These were made for a challenge where we could choose any theme or style, but had to use neutral colours. I took photos, and created assemblages and  collages. Here are some of my favourites:

Thursday / Friday Post

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week is  progressing well. Here it's still very mild, it doesn't feel like November yet. In this post I have art & or photos for various challenges which take place on Thursday and Friday.

First of all I have an A3 collage for  Bleubeard and Elizabeth's collage fodder challenge at Art Journal journey.  I used a mop up page and lots of magazine cut-outs. The pictures were very bright so I wiped some diluted gesso over them. There are lots of faces here, too, so I will also link to Nicole's FFO:

And for Elizabeth's 2nd on the 2nd although it's the 3rd I have some pieces from bygone times - and there are faces for Nicole, too!

New challenge at TIOT - sparkle and shine

Hi Evverybody!

It's time for a new challenge at TIOT, and this time our theme is Sparkle and Shine, so we want to see your sparkly and shiny creations. Creations of all formats are welcome, so come and join us! I made an A3 acrylic painting and used lots of gold, but it was hard to catch the shine in the photos. In real life it is much more shiny! And please have a look at the lovely creations made by my buddies on our blog:

New challenge at Art Journal Journey

 Hi Everybody!

It seems like yesterday that we started with Elle's lovely challenge at Art Journal Journey, and already we have a new one. Many thanks to Elle for her fun theme which we all loved. Our new challenge is being hosted by Elizabeth and Beubeard. We have a lot of choice this time as there are 2 themes - collage fodder and / or food & drink. I have chosen collage fodder for my first piece. I started with an A3 page with a lot of frustration scribbles on it and then painted over it with some left over blue paint. I had a face painting made a year or so back, and i hated it, so I cut it up into circles and triangles and collaged them onto the page. Then I added some more doodling, the stenciled birds, and the text which is too blurry to read. It's a found poem, made out of random words: 

FLY   she wanted to fly away
she did not understand
She believed in the good
of birds and flying things
of flight and freedom
she could taste the wind
where she can be found
