New challenge at Art Journal Journey

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at AJJ and this time the lovely Neet  of Hickydorums is hosting, and her theme is  fur or feathers. This can apply to animals and birds and any other things made of fur or feathers. Have a look at our blog and read what Neet has said.

I am starting off with an A3 journal page of watercoloured feathers inspired by a mindfulness lesson. The words I have used are from Karmand Kojouri. I added some tiny feathers, too. I mostly stick to acryl  painting, but using water colours and a smaller brush enables me to slow down a bit:

And some of the feathered creatures who live here:

That's all for today. We are looking forward to seeing your entries for Neet's theme.
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Midweek Post.

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week is going well! We've had nice weather here, warm, but not too warm and a nice breeze. But still no rain, it's really scary!

Today I am sharing my last piece for Chris' 'when we were young' challenge at AJJ. Tomorrow we will be starting a new challenge with a great theme and another lovely host. For this journal page I have used two photos - left is a pic of my husband as a little boy, helping with the cows, and right is a pic of my great nephew fishing. The words are from a rhyme we learnt as kids. It has one verse about little girls and the other one, which is here,  about little boys:

Nice memories for me!

We had another wonderful sunrise this morning:

Yesterday I went out for coffee with Heike, and we sat there for a fun hour nattering, drinking coffee and people watching;

And a few thinkies / funnies:

and thanks a lot for coming by!

T sTands for Tuesday on Monday

Hi Everybody!

I hope you all enjoyed a quiet and relaxing weekend, or a weekend full of adventure and action as the case may be! I didn't do much - visited my friend for coffee, sat on the balcony in the evenings and enjoyed reading and painting.

Today I have another tag for Sandie's challenge at Tag Tuesday - black, white and a spot of colour. You still have a week to enter! I chose an Andy Warhol stencil to make my tag, with a red heart as my spot of colour:

This evening we will also be starting Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T Gang who visit my blog. As most of you know, I drink coffee or cappucccino, and I do like a nice, large mug. The one I have painted here is a bit wonky, but it does hold a lot of coffee, and that's the main thing:

As I have a sweet little boy on my page, I am linking to Chris's 'when we were young'  challenge at AJJ.

And some thinkins/funnies:

Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!

Hope you are all well and fit, and that you  enjoy your weekend. I'm going to take it easy at the weekend, and that's always enjoyable. And I'm happy to say that the big heat has gone somewhere else for the time being and it's pleasant today, so I hope these temps stay with us for a bit!  Today I have another piece for Chris's 'when we were young' challenge at AJJ. This is a digital piece, using photos of my mum and me:

My lady today is named after the wonderful song, 'Lily the Pink', a big hit in England back in 1968 /9:

Some funnies/ thinkies:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
