T sTands for Tuesday on Monday once again

Hi Everybody!

Today I have another piece for Matilde's 'birds' challenge at AJJ. This was a very quick and spontaneous make - I discovered an A4 piece of paper which had been painted with various blues at some time in the distant past, and I grabbed it and had fun making a bird on it. This is not just any bird, as David will know. It is one of the rare species from Balconia-by-the-Rhine. It is the  greater spotted yellow egghead. This bird has a very long beak, which he uses to drink coffee. Actually, it prefers cappuccino or a latte, and is delighted when he can stick his beak into the milk foam. This is the male of the species, the female is less gaudy and stays home to mind the nest:

And now you will have guessed that I am also linking to Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, which begins this evening, so here a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang who visit here.

And as today is also Elizabeth's 2nd on the 2nd I have some pictures posted in the past relating to coffee and birds:

That's all for today. Have a good one, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

New challenge at AJJ - birds

Hi Everybody!
Here's wishing us all a happy and healthy month of  May. Today we are starting a new challenge at Art Journal Journey, and this time the lovely Matilde is our guest host and has chosen 🐦birds🐦 as her theme.  The challenge runs for the whole month. Cards and tags are not allowed - please see the rules on our blog! I made a mixed media A3 piece using 'my' head, filled with birds, sunflowers, a face and some stenciled cogs and gears. The blue and yellow colours remind  us of Ukraine and what is happening there. We are looking forward to seeing your artwork!

Have a great dxay, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Friday/Saturday post

Hi Everybody!

Today I met up with some friends in a Café in town here and we had ice coffees, and spent a nice couple of hours talking about this and that. It's great to have a catch-up from time to time!

Today I am sharing another one of my ladies inspired by Effy Wild, I love these ladies with big hair and lotS of leaves and flowers. This is an A3 piece painted with acrylics. It is inspired by the film  'Lady with red hair' (1940) starring Miriam Hopkins and Claude Rains, and is my last entry for Alisons 'Play it again, Sam' challenge at AJJ:

And some funnies / thinkies:

Have a great day, take care,
