Sunday Post

Hi Everybody!

Have a great Sunday, stay safe!

Today I am sharing another recycled tag for my challenge at Tag Tuesday. The background card was from another envelope. I gave it a smear of white gesso left over from another project and then added the scraps of vintage bookpaper. The sewing ephemera, which were stamped and fussy cut, were once on an old tag which was chewed by my neighbour's dog. The half rose was a leftover rub-on which I cut in half by mistake. The washi-tape was peeled off my kitchen table and re-used. Please don't ask why it was stuck onto my kitchen table....

Then I decided to magic the tag digitally onto a vintage journal page for Wendy's challenge at AJJ:

Saturday Post / 9.11

Hi Everybody!

On September 11, 2001, 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Almost 3,000 people were killed during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which triggered major U.S. initiatives to combat terrorism and defined the presidency of George W. Bush.

Today we commemorate the 20th anniversary of this terrorist attack on the USA and all of the free world, and remember those who died, and those who endangered and sometimes lost their own lives trying to rescue others.

Vintage, minimalist and more

Hi Everybody!

First of all I have a recycled tag to share for my re-use, recycle challenge at Tag Tuesday. The script tag was in my bit box. I added a white flower rub-on to cover a scratched patch and then the TH people, standing on a strip of washi tape. The sentiment was also in one of my boxes:

Then I recycled the tag into a 7" x 7" journal page to fit Wendy's vintage challenge at AJJ. I used a piece of a LaBlanche designer paper as background, and added some other embellishments. I cut into the page to make a pocket for the tag to fit it. Then I sewed it to a piece of recycled corrugated card:

Today is also Rain's TAD, and her theme this week is Minimalism. Hmm, as a friend of happy chaos this is not my thing, but I have some photos to show:

And last but not least, some photos from my balcony:

This is growing out of my lavender, I have no idea what it is. Perhaps Jack planted it....

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
