Wonderful autumn weather

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week is going well. We're having unusually warm and sunny autumn days here, with chilly nights that bring fresh, crisp air. Great for being out and about. Today I am sharing two journal spreads  made in the last weeks. For the first one I used Gelatos, felt pens, stencils and washi tape:

The second spread is a bit too bright, you might need shades....I used scraps of a JD paper napkin, stencils, Gelatos, ink markers, washi tapes and a computer generated sentiment:

And I have another tag for Tag Tuesday, pennants - flags:

Last week N visited me and we went for a boat-ride along the river to the Altstadt of Düsseldorf. The journey takes about 1 hour 20 minutes. The weather was good, the people on the boat were all happy and friendly, and they serve a good selection of drinks along the way, all included in the fare price. I had coffee and mineral water, N had white wine, mineral water and coffee. We got off in a very crowded Altstadt and made our way through the crowds to the bridge. We walked over the bridge and went back to N's for some more coffee, and then had frozen Yogurt at Yamaro's, delicious. All in all a wonderful afternoon. My pics are mostly views from the bridge:

Can you see the kites in the distance?

The Rhine is still very low, usually the water covers most of the 'beach':

T stands for Flags, bunTing and more

Hi Everybody!

It's the start of a new week - have a good one!

On Tuesday we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday. This time Sandie is hosting and has chosen 'Flags / bunting' as her theme. She has made 2 example tags on the TT blog as inspiration.
I made a quick  collaged tag. The background was a scrap of water-coloured paper onto which I stamped lots of trees in various sizes. The sun was also stamped and coloured. I used a photo taken in the little medieval town of Zons, which I digitally changed to Sepia to make it look old. I added the lady and child and hung up some paper bunting. I sewed the tag onto 2 pieces of coordinating matting:

And I made a digital tag, too. Among the little people I have placed my mum, Erika and myself:

Hope to see lots of you joining in the challenge.

Tuesday is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T Gang. We have markets here 3 times a week, and the Wednesday one is small, but beautifully situated right by the Rhine. There is always a coffee bike there, and they sell the best coffee and cappuccino in our little town, really fantastic. And believe me, I have  tried every other coffee place here!

Some more photos from a walk last week. We are enjoying beautiful, 'Golden October' weather, with lots of sunshine and blue skies, just fantastic for walking:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Orange at More Mixed Media

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at More Mixed Media. As always, our challenges are anything goes, and the optional colour is orange, a great choice with autumn and Halloween! You have 4 weeks to join us and link up your creations, so hope to see you there. I made a mixed media autumn/ Halloween tag. I once again used lots of natural elements, and a vintage German scrap witch. I am also linking to Paint Party Friday, Simon Monday challenge, Tag it and Tag Tuesday:

The photos were taken last weekend in the neighbouring town of Duisburg. We went for a walk through the woods, where there are lots of climbing possibilities for young and old - and no, I didn't try it:

Some canals and lakes have been adapted for water sport and regattas:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
