Weekend this and that

Hi Everybody!

Hope your weekend is going well.
Today I am sharing a tag made for Tag Tuesday,
anything goes. I used some stamps which Sue sent
me for my birthday/Christmas - thanks again Sue!
The set is from Dina Wakley,
and I like that the faces are not overly pretty and sweet.
The attributes stamps also show strong
character traits -women don't need to
be meek and mild! I used some DP from LaBlanche
for the background. The heads were stamped onto
scrap card, coloured with gelatos and
fussy cut. I sewed the tag onto some recycled
card to give it more stability.

We had a lovely sunrise this morning, and then the
sun disappeared behind the clouds and it looks
like it will be another grey day.

The big storm we had on Thursday, 'Friederike',
was upgraded to a hurricane. It caused a huge amount
of damage and 7 people were killed. You can see 2 short
videos hereThe first one shows a plane landing on the
airport which I can see from my window, the second one
a Porta-potty WC being blown by the storm along
a street full of cars. I'm glad I was able to stay
home on that day.

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

The loom of life

Hi Everybody!

For Paint Party Friday, hosted by Eva & Kristin,
I have an A3 doodled face worked on a gessoed BG.
I used Pitt pens and a Staedtler Lumocolor
permanent pen. I used some b/w washi tapes and a
red feather as embellishments. I am also linking to
Simon Monday Challenge, birds of a feather
and Simon Wednesday Challenge, add a sentiment:

The photos are from this day one year ago.

Thanks to those who sent well wishes. My cough is
slowly getting better. Nights are still bad, but
I am hopeful to be 'back to normal' -
whatever that might be - ASAP.

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Another head-case

Hi Everybody!
Hope your week is going well. Today I am sharing
another of my A3 mixed media 'head-cases'.
I used stencils from Dina Wakley
and no-name and pit pens to draw and colour.
I know I use this quote a lot, I just like it!
I am linking to Simon Wednesday challenge,
add a sentiment.

I love the morning shadows when the light streams
through the window, and my 2 blue vases
always put up a good show at catching it. If you
think you can see dust on the furniture
you are probably right:

 Another beautiful sunrise:

May the sun shine on you and yours!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

T stands for Anything Goes

Hi Everybody!

On Tuesday we are staring a new challenge at

***Anything Goes***
This time there will be a prize  of a surprise
package of crafty goodies for one
lucky winner, whose name will be pulled out of the
proverbial hat. As always, you have 2 weeks to get your
creative juices flowing and to link your tag to us,
so I am looking forward to seeing what you make!
I made a quick and simple tag using
DP for the background, sewed onto some recycled
card matting. Some coordinating feathers
were then added. Tags  can be quick and simple
to make!  I am also linking to Simon
Wednesday Challenge, use patterned paper and to
Simon Monday Challenge, birds of a feather.

Today is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so I would
like to welcome all of the nice ladies of the
T Gang.
Today I made a coffee journal page:

And it is half time at TIOT, where our theme this
time is 'My favourite things', so you still have
a week to link your creation to us.

We have had some sunny but colder weather these past
couple of days, and it was good to see blue skies again:

My marigolds are still flowering:

I took a few photos in 'town' on my way to the doctor's today.
My cough is still very troublesome and does not want
to leave me and go somewhere else....I am resting a lot
and spending time reading and watching TV, mostly
murder and mayhem.

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
