New Challenge at More Mixed Media

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at
Our challenges are all anything goes, this time
with optional white. Mixed media projects of
all formats are welcome, and you have 2 weeks
to link to us.
I was not sure what to make - white is not really my
favourite, and in the end I cased one of my old
journal pages, just making it larger (A3) this time.
The BG was painted with gesso with a hint of blue here
and there. The image is from Gecko Galz, and was glazed
with Paper Artsy frosting glaze and then sprinkled with
some glitter. The snow balls were made with a puff pen
in white, the stars were in my stash,
as was the glittery reindeer and the sled. The white trees
are TH branch trees. I used frosting glaze and structure
paste to make the ice and snow. The whole BG
was rubbed with ice Stickles.
I am also linking to Simon Wednesday Challenge,
anything goes.

The ice and fog from the weekend have been replaced
with damp, grey weather. I took some shots of the
Christmas decorations in the shop here:

I was pleased to see that the gulls are getting into the

T stands for Twinkle, twinkle

Hi Everybody!

On Tuesday we are starting a new challenge at TIOT-

🌟🌟Twinkle, Twinkle🌟🌟

where we would like to see stars, sparkles, glitter
or something shiny on your entry. As always, projects
of all formats are allowed, and you have 2 weeks to
link to us.

I made a large tag using some black, linen-weave
cardstock. The stars were stenciled, and I added a few
glass ones for extra sparkle. I tore silver paper into
strips and sewed them across the bottom to make
the snow, adding some star-dust stickles to the
layer. The trees were cut with a Hero-Arts die, and the
deer with a large punch. I gave them a thin coat
of stickles with some extra hologram glitter. The tag
was sewn onto a silver backing.

Tuesday is also time for Elizabeth's
Tea stands for Tuesday, so here a warm welcome
to all of the nice ladies of the T gang. I made a
caramelized pineapple upside-down cake last week
when some friends came over, and it was very delicious.
We sat together for several hours, and kept our strength
up not only with cake, but with a delicious veggie-salad
brought by G, tangerines for vitamins, and lovely
Spanish red-wine to wash it all down:

Help yourselves!

Cappuccino was my choice of drink again:

The weather at the weekend was cold, foggy, and frosty,
and on Sunday it snowed:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Icy Photo Inspiration at Simon Monday Challenge

Hi Everybody!

I am honoured to be acting as guest designer for the
Simon Monday Challenge this month.

The theme this week is
'icy photo inspiration'.
The focus this week is on Paper Artsy Products,
all available from the Simon Says Store.

Thanks to all the crew there for asking me!

One entry is chosen each week and can win a fabulous
voucher for the store:

For my DT piece
I made an A3 journal page. The background was
painted with Paper Artsy fresco paints
using a mix of blue and white, and stamped with a
Jofy snow-flake stamp using white acrylic paint.
The focal image from my stash was glazed with
Paper Artsy frosting glaze. I used snow paste
for the snow and coated it with some frosting glaze
mixed with hologram glitter. The lace frame
was stitched, as were the edges of the page.
The trees were cut with a Hero Arts set,
the reindeer were punched.

And I have some icy and misty weekend photos:

I hope to see lots of you joining in at Simon Monday Challenge!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
