Saturday this and that

Hi Everybody!

I have spent yesterday and today mostly in my bed,
as I am not feeling well and just want to hide under
a blanket and sleep. I think I will spend the rest
of the weekend there, too!

I have 2 pieces to share today. The first is an 8 x 7"
piece made for Chris' lovely '101 ways to keep warm'
challenge at Art Journal Journey
I called it, 'Fluff up your feathers to keep warm'.
The image is from Gecko Galz
and has been printed onto canvas:

For Sandie's challenge at Tag Tuesday, book-print, I have
one more tag. The was coloured with distress
oxide inks in spiced marmalade and frayed burlap.
The leaves and Mr U.M. were die cut:

After we left the woods and lakes we visited the
industrial park again in Duisburg. It was like
wandering through giant, rusty castles or cathedrals:

You can see us hovering in front of the notice board
like 3 ghosts:

There is even a summit cross in the climbing area:

This is a giant slide, but it was unfortunately closed
when we were there:

There was lots of lovely rust everywhere, I am sure Elisabeth
will enjoy it:

More pictures to follow!
Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

From autumn to winter

Hi Everybody!

For Paint Party Friday I have an A3 journal page,
'autumn moving towards winter'
The BG was painted with toned gesso, and then stenciled.
For the sunflowers I used gold, and for the gears and cogs,
which represent the transition to cold and dark winter,
black. The birds are flying away to avoid the coming
season - I wish I could do the same!
I am also linking to country view crafts, stencils and to
That's crafty, stencil it.

And I am sharing more photos from the woods and lakes I
visited this week with G and H:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Coffee, woods and lakes

Hi Everybody!
For Chris'  nice theme, '101 ways to keep warm', at
a digital piece. The images are from Serif.
This is one of my fave ways of keeping warm. For those
who need more exercise I recommend doing
some fun shopping first....

Yesterday I went on a trip with G & H, 2 of my good
buddies. We went to Duisburg, a neighbouring town.
First we went for a walk through the 'Sechs Seen Platte',
an area with 6 huge lakes and wonderful wooded trails.
The weather was cold but sunny,
and we enjoyed marching along the trails and admiring
the beauty of the autumn landscape:

G kindly acted as leaf holder:

More photos of the lakes and the other places we
visited will be following!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by
