Hi Everybody!
A few weeks ago I painted an A3 piece using squares of various
bright colours. When it was finished, I drew lines in between using a
spectrum noir pen and then sewed over all the lines and edges with
red thread. I die cut circles in coordinating colours and sewed
them on as decorations, adding some tassels made of eyelash yarn.
Then I decided to make it into a book cover to hold
some of my large tags. I strengthened the inside covers, and
then added 4 signatures, which I sewed by hand. The last step was to
fix the signatures to the cover using eyelash yarn again to match the
decorations sewn onto the covers. The finished book is 20" x 8", and the
spine is 1 1/2" wide.

I am linking to Paint Party Friday, and Simon Monday Challenge.
A couple of weeks back I won a prize on Stacy's blog,
Magic Love Crow. She always paints really mystical pieces, using her
wonderful crows and dramatic colours. She is very talented and
I was more than happy when I got a mail to say I was the winner of her
generous prize, which arrived in my mail box 2 days ago:
Thanks Stacy, I am really happy to have your wonderful painting here.
Some photos from out and about these past days. We are experiencing
heavy storms just now, so will possibly be going off line till it calms down:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
