Tuesday this and that.

Hi Everybody!
😊
There's a lot going on again on Tuesday.
We are starting a new challenge at TIOT,
and it's Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday,
so here a warm welcome to the nice ladies of the T Gang.
I am glad I always work well in advance, as the last few days
I wasn't able to do anything as I am still feeling bad.

At TIOT our new challenge is 'Layer it up'.
As always, you have 2 weeks to join us, and projects of all
formats are welcome, so hope to see you there.
I made a card, using an image from Gecko Galz, and I have 8 layers on the card.
I used crackle medium on the image, and the lovely floral brads were a present from Sabine, so thanks a lot!

For Art Journal Journey, Susi's collage challenge,  I have an A4 page. I stamped the Da Vinci image onto paper, and smudged the face
with my finger while the ink was still wet -
no faces etc allowed!
I glued the paper onto a gelli print,
and added it digitally to the grungy background, using a
filter  to liven up the edges.

For T stands for Tuesday I want to show you some of the glass exhibits
from the museum  Kunstpalast that I visited last week. The small
cup and saucer look so real, but they are in the glass.
I found this one unbelievably good.

These 2 are from the same artist:

I loved these modern glasses, too:

The whole museum is full of incredibly beautiful glass,
I will show more pics bit by bit.
I loved the Art Nouveau pieces, too:

The stairs leading down to the antique glass section. This museum is
such a riot of colour and beauty, I will go back there
soon and enjoy it again:

Stormy weather

Hi Everybody!

For Art Journal Journey I have a hybrid piece. The background was painted, distressed and collaged. The 'graffiti' quote was stamped onto a gelli print and added together with the other images, and the chalked quote was added digitally:

I have stayed home over the weekend, but the sky and clouds
were worth taking photos of, and I much enjoyed watching the
ever changing heavens on Saturday evening:

And early Sunday morning:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Let's go somewhere....

Hi Everybody!

Just a short post today, I've not been feeling
so good these past days.

A hybrid piece meant for Susi's theme at Art Journal Journey,
using some add ons from Mischief Circus:

My tag from Tag Tuesday this week, our theme was 'reindeer':
😉Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery😉

And some views from my beloved Rhine:

Here with a river police boat:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Friday post

Hi Everybody!

It's Friday, so it's nearly weekend - enjoy!

I have another mixed media A3 collage. The background was painted with black gesso, into which I stamped to add some texture, and gave it a sprinkle of fairy dust. I was inspired by the postcard (Nude from Max Slevogt) which was a handout at the Kunstpalast last Sunday. I cut out the red frames and added some behind and some in front of the card. The text was added digitally:

The original card!

With the added quote:

Here are some more paintings from the Rubens room and gallery. Not all paintings are from him, some are from his contemporaries.
This one is by Rubens, and the sheer size of it nearly knocked me over:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
