New Challenge at Moo Mania and More

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at

Anything goes.

All formats are allowed not just Moos, so hope to see lots of you linking up your creative artwork in the next 2 weeks.

I have an A3 journal page, also meant for Art Journal Journey, collage. On Friday a new challenge will be starting here, too, so be sure to check in to see what's going on!

The image in the centre is one that I found on my table when I was trying to clear it. I surrounded it with blue and metallic scraps which I found in one of my Christmas boxes. I added some gilding flakes, and painted the surrounds with blue metallic paint.

Yesterday was grey and overcast, but the water fowl seemed to enjoy it:

This morning dawned bright and sunny::

Have a great day you all, take care
and thanks a lot for coming by.

Tuesday this and that

Hi Everybody!

For Art Journal Journey, collage I made a hybrid collage. The background was collaged, stamped and then gessoed. I changed the colour digitally, and added the figures taken from a prospect. The plane is a photo taken from my balcony. and the Gehry buildings in the background are photos taken in the Harbour of Düsseldorf. I added a silhouette of the town at the front.

Today is Elisabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so a big welcome to all the T gang.
I made a digital collage using a painted background and some bottles I painted last year. The bird is a water colour I made from one of the jay photos I took.
As the bottles are all empty, I added some tea cups, for those who like tea, and of course, my cappuccino with amerettinis. And I would like to wish you all a happy new year 2016.

The birds are enjoying themselves eating the berries on the trees along the Rhine:

Lots of ships were on the Rhine, as always. This is a dredger, which keeps the river bed clear so that the ships have no problems:

This is a boat of the river police:

The view from my kitchen window this morning:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Monday mix

Hi Everybody!

The Christmas weekend is over, and in a few days the year will
be over, too. Time flies! Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas break.

For Art Journal Journey, collage and for 99 faces I made another of my 'old fashioned' faces (this is no. 3 in the series) and  then made a hybrid collage out of it. The face was drawn on recycled card and painted with water colours. I kept mostly to shades of purple, just adding some highlights in gold and white. If I have counted rightly this is face no. 44 of 99.

I digitally placed the face on a coloured and printed background and overlayed it with my bird on the branch photo. The swallow is from Itkupilli and the quote from my stash.

The morning skies have been wonderful over the past few days, with delicate colours:

The cormorant was greeting the sun again:

The pigeon fluffed herself up to twice her size:

And the robin was busy feeding off the red berries:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Saying thank you for friends.

Hi Everybody!

As I am sitting here writing the Christmas full moon is
shining down on me - beautiful!

For Art Journal Journey, collage, and for 99 faces I have another hybrid collage using one of my faces. The background was painted and glittered, and then stenciled with numerals. The pictures were mounted into the film strip, and then placed digitally onto the background. The little man is out of a set from June at Dezinaworld. I had fun fiddling with this one!

For my birthday last Monday and Christmas I received post from lots of lovely bloggers, and want to once again say a big thank you to all.

This was the wrapping paper of a large parcel which came from Chrissie:

And all these goodies were inside:

And these. Thanks Sweetie!

The tag on the left and the card in the middle came from Linda; the card on the right and the angel beneath it (so gorgeous) came from Chris, the card bottom left from Annette and right from Yvonne. One lovelier than the other, all just breathtaking. Thanks all you lovely ladies!

These presents and cards are from my lovely friend Carolyn. She knows that I like birds and coffee, I wonder how?! On the right is a beautiful pocket mirror she made for me, with a very encouraging text to go with it, and a book mark. Thanks Carolyn!

The fantastic cards on the left are from my dear Susi, and she sent a wonderful present which I am not showing you - that will give you something to wonder about! The beautiful card on the left is from Donna, and is one of her marvelous paintings. Thanks again!

And we are not finished yet -  lovely cards from Sheila, Barbara (top), and Sarah and Wolfgang (bottom). The Hebrew writing says 'mazel tov' - good luck.

And last but not least, all of these things came from Sue - beautiful sewn cards (she sews a lot neater than I do, that's for sure!), a stamp, a doily stencil, and a stamp and stencil set from Dylusions.  And the  embossed white leaves. Thanks again!

I took the photos here on Christmas day - daffodils almost ready to bloom, and other nonseasonal plants and flowers:

Have a great day you all. take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
