Hi Everybody!
It's weekend - enjoy!
Today I have a hybrid piece for Jo's 'Beautifully wild' challenge at AJJ:
The beautiful and very colourful purple background was a freebie from our lovely Lyn aka Spyder who generously shares a lot of her creations - thanks! As soon as I saw this I wanted it for Jo's challenge, and Einstein fitted to it wonderfully .
I also have a vintage tag for Sandie's challenge at Tag Tuesday. I used a photo from a distant cousin taken when she was a child. I had the pleasure of looking after her in a nursing home in her last few years. She was well over 90 and Pizza was her favourite food!
And I have a collection of Thinkies, Funnies and Zinnies!
Have a great weekend, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
Lovely art and fun thinkies
ReplyDeleteThanks Christine!

It's a bit wonky in there since it lost its back ground, and I haven't added anythink in ages, as I can't!
Glad you like what I made, I was happy to use what you made, too! It's a great way to cooperate! Have a great weekend, hugs!
DeleteYet another delightful post, Valerie!
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic weekend!
Thanks so much, Veronica!
DeleteSpyder's purple background looks perfect for your art and I love the story you shared about your cousin on the tag. Fun pics and funnies for the weekend too, Wishing you the best possible weekend as well. Take good care.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carol, glad you like it! Erika was a wacky old lady! Hugs
DeleteIsn’t it lovely that people are willing to share in this way? It’s an example for all of us, and I have no doubt that Spyder is happy that you wish to use her creations, and is pleased with the results you achieve. Blogging and crafting harmony! Similarly David Zinn would be thrilled at your coverage of his work on your blog. Maybe that should read “is thrilled” and not “would be thrilled.” Perhaps he checks your blog every day to see what you have posted. Yes trees grow, but trees die too, and in their dying give back to the earth that nurtured them. It’s a clear message for us all. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteI think it's great - I get a piece that's just right for my ceation, and Spyder was happy, too. That's the way it should be! David Zinn's art is fantastic, her is a great artist. Yes, we all grow and then die and return to the earth, that's the way it should be. I don't want a fancy coffin or headstone - nada! I hope you are having a good weekend, and that Miriam will be making some wonderful food for you - or you for her, as the case may be! I have no idea what I will eat! Hugs, Valerie xxxxxxx
DeleteMy daughter is visiting so we are eating well and drinking a little wine too!
DeleteEnjoy, have fun!
DeleteHi Val, have a lovely weekend! I tried to phone you this morning but you had already flown the nest! I'll ring you this evening about 10:00. Love your fabulous wild piece, and spyder must be a lovely lass! Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, talk later!
DeleteI love that crazy Einstein piece for Jo's challenge. It is beautifully wild. And I like your tag too. It goes to show you what a small world it is when you can come across a distance relative like you did. She definitely lives on through you Valerie. Have a super weekend. I hope you do a lot of art and reading and maybe a meal with Heike? hugs-Erika
ReplyDeleteThanks Erika, have a fun weekend! Hugs!

DeleteThe image with Einstein that you created would make a great postage stamp. I've always loved that picture of him.
ReplyDeleteThanks CJ. I have a painting of Einstein here, what a great guy! Have a great, new week!
DeleteI don't know how I missed this, but it will teach me not to be MIA over the weekend. I love Einstein, and that background goes perfectly with the focal image. I love how it goes perfectly with Jo's theme at AJJ.
ReplyDeleteYou got some good funnies and Zinnies and thinkies. I loved the man drawing the bridge. I laughed hard at that one. Sorry again I missed this.
Einstein looks awesome and I love the vintage tag. The funnies did have me laughing- and that tree is amazing! Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteAs well as Spyder's background I like the left hand edge of your page which has colour dripped on it. Great page with Einstein in the centre.
ReplyDeleteGreat thinkies/funnies - especially like the Mickey one and the guy drawing a bridge (very clever) but the Zinnis do it for e again.
Hugs, Neet xx
Einstein was not always serious. He had a silly side too. Love the thinkies funnies and Zinn. That is one weird tree.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings
