Spooky and more

Hi Everybody!

The weather has changed now, and instead of blue skies and sunshine we had rain, wind and chilly temps, but I'm not complaining - we need the rain so badly.
But bad weather is also good crafting weather!

I made a spread in my journal. The BG was painted with acrylics in a mix of blue and purple, with some red drips and splatters. The shadowy ladies were added with a stencil, the pumpkins and witches are vintage German scrap. I added some cheese-cloth coloured with ink and some washi tape. The book is a sticker. I am linking to Simon Monday challenge, Spooky/Halloween and Simon Wednesday challenge, as well as to Paint Party Friday:

T stands for Tag Tuesday and more

Hi Everybody!

Hope your weekend was as good as mine! I was out and about most of the time, making the best of the last fine and sunny autumn days before the rainy, misty weather gets to us.

On Tuesday we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and our lovely Michele is hosting. She has chosen Edgar Allen Poe as her theme, so hope to see lots of creepy and chilling tags! I shaped my tag like a tombstone. The background papers are from Gecko Galz, the images from my stash and Serif:

Today is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T Gang. I like to drink my coffee at the market place:

Last week the days all started off fine and sunny:

I haven't finished processing the many photos I took this weekend, so here are those I took the week before, when N and I visited the beautiful Lantzche Park near here. I love the little chapel there, and this time an organist was playing , so we were able to enjoy some beautiful music:

After leaving the park we walked down to the Rhine and then along the river back home:

It's quite a long walk, and we were very hungry by the time we got back to our little town and rewarded ourselves with a grilled chicken meal at the snack bar:

Paint Party Friday this and that

Hi Everybody!

The weather here has cooled off quite a bit in the past few days, so now we are having temperatures more suitable to autumn. But we still badly need some rain. They told us on the news that the ground here is now so dry that it would need to rain for 8 weeks solid to replace the water that is needed.

For Tag Tuesday, Sandie's challenge of 'Flags and Pennants', you still have a few days to join us. I made a quick tag using a flag printed onto book-paper, some sewing, coordinating matting and a TH image:

The image for this piece was created in my graphic programme, printed onto an A4 page and then centred onto a painted and distressed A3 background. I added the text and the pointing hand, which was fussy-cut.

The photos were taken this week on my morning walks through our little town:

This was taken from my balcony, looking down into the garden:

And a moody and magnificent sun that showed itself this morning:

And a few minutes later it went back to bed - wouldn't we all like to do that sometimes?

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
