Thursday / Friday Post

Hi Everybody!

Today I have a hybrid piece for Elle's fun Books, cats and tea challenge at AJJ. The background is part of a marbled page made in a colour bath using left over paints. The  musical cats are Victorian scraps and the singing cat is a digi- If you look carefully you can see that his paw is resting on some books. And there's tea for the musicians. I hope they all survive the rendering of 'The hills are alive....' sung by the one and only - thank goodness - Screech Cat.

And this is the other half of the monkey business page made during one of my free lessons. I used stencils and stamps on the background:

And this is the whole double page:

Here I was playing. I altered some photos to make them look like paintings, and I think they turned out well:

This old farmhouse is on the street where I live:

And some funnies / thinkies:

I will also be linking to Nicole's FFO and
Gillena's AFF.

Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

Tuesday / Wednesday Post

Hi Everybody!

Today I have some beautifully scary pieces for you. The first is the tag I made for Michele's new challenge at Tag Tuesday. Her theme is silhouettes. Any sort of silhouette is welcome, and as always, you have 2 weeks to join us. I decided to start practising for Halloween....And please don't worry, no real blood was spilt to make the tag:

And then I altered it a bit, as it has a cat on it, and so I made it suitable for Elle's books, cats and tea challenge at AJJ. Freddie looks like he is roaring to go, and Mrs WW, the wicked witch is having a trial flight:

These pieces are both hybrid brews from my magical, digital couldron.

That's all for today folks. My computer is playing silly buggers so I want to get finished before it goes on strike!

Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

T sTands for This and that...

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all had a fun and restful weekend. I certainly did, just reading, painting  and some feet up time. On Saturday I had to go to the shops, so rewarded myself with a large cappuccino from Cafe Schuster:

I enjoy sitting there in my fave window seat, and watching what's going on outside:

And of course, I like to watch what's going on inside. 2 elderly people sitting opposite (probably younger than me!) were tucking into breakfast, and they really ate every last crumb. When the waitress came with the bill, the woman said that it really hadn't tasted good at all, and they were very disappointed. The waitress said, 'If it doesn't taste good, you can tell me straightaway, and I'll tell the cook and you'll get a replacement. But after eating it all, no, it's not possible any more!' After the waitress had gone, the man told his wife, 'See, I told you it wouldn't work!'
I'm happy to say I paid for my coffee and didn't complain.

This evening we will be celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday drink & link party, so here a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang who visit here.

I spent a lot of time in my rather messy, arty kitchen at the weekend, and took some photos. You can see several of my kitchen cows:

This cow lives on my coffee machine. She has a spring under her body, and vibrates when the machine is dispensing coffee:

I am planning on painting the doors of my kitchen cabinets soon, I want something bright and beautiful, perhaps! But  I think it will be some colourful abstracts!

A few of my recent beverages:

And some thinkies / funnies:

And some pics of the evening sky after sunset:

Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
