Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!

Here's wishing us all a happy weekend!

Today I am sharing painting on a spare piece of plaster board. I  collaged Buddha as the focal element, with a quote as a sort of crown over his head. The background was painted with grey, purple and gold and was  textured with a LaBlanche stamp. I also added some glitter - perhaps a bit too much glitter -, gold and white dots and lots of little flowers. I am linking to Aimeslee's flowers challenge at AJJ - hope to see YOU there, too! I like the quote I used, too. Here we are always trying to stuff our heads with knowledge, which isn't a bad thing, of course, but sometimes we need that empty space in our minds to find ourselves.

We've had some sunny days:

And poppies are blooming again:

Some funnies/ thinkies:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by

Thursday / Friday post

Hi Everybody!

Today I have another piece for Aimeslee's flowers challenge at  AJJ, and once again it's with tulips. I guess I just like them. I had problems taking the photos, the light was so bad today, sorry.  The colours are darker and more intensive in real life. As usual, it's an A3 painting in acrylics.  The quote is from Rumi -'Let the beauty of what you love be what you do':

And a few moon pictures for Rain's TADD :

I made these faces 2 years ago, I think it was one of the taster sessions. They were painted with diluted acrylic on newspaper:

Then I put them onto painted and collaged backgrounds and had fun:

I am linking to Nicole's FFO and to  Gilena's Art for fun Fridays

Have a great day take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Travel

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and this time the lovely Valerie is hosting - that's me! My theme is travel - any tags to do with travel are welcome - vehicles, boats. planes, busses, trains, places where you would like to be etc. I have three tags to start off my challenge:

London - my birth place and my favourite place on earth. I was born more or less where the left hand of the marching guardsman is:

It's aways fun to travel to new places in good company:

And Paris is perhaps my 2nd favourite place on earth, whatever the season:

Our challenge runs for 2 weeks, and I am looking forward to seeing your ideas for my travel theme!

Thanks to Michele, for hosting our last challenge, and to all who made wonderful hat tags and linked to us!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
