Time has flown by again this week, where does it go?

For Mia's 'use a photo' challenge at AJJ I have a hybrid page. The background was painted, the text and flowers were added digitally. The photo shows a photo of my sister Cynthia - a lovely person, inside and out. She lived in the USA, but her youngest son was born when she visited us in London in 1963. It's sad to say that they  both died much too early. The verse on the page is part of a poem from Christine Rosetti:

Today Elizabeth is celebrating her TsfT link party, so here a warm welcome to  all of the nice ladies who visit here. And tomorrow is the 2nd on the 2nd, where we re-show a post published previously. I am combining both challenges as I don't have too much time here in the clinic.

New challenge at AJJ and a Happy New Year

Hi Everybody!

After 3 loooong days I'm back on line, and hope that the system doesn't crash
again! Today we are starting a new year of challenges at Art Journal Journey, and this time our lovely Mia is hosting and her theme is 'Use a photo' . For my background I used an ice skating picture from a German women's magazine from the beginning of the 20th century. I added the photo of Erika on the left, as she seems to blend very well with the other figures on the ice:

The challenge runs for the whole month, so I hope to see lots of you joining in, and looks forward to seeing your creations!

A quick hello

Hi Everybody!

Just wanted to wish you all a good weekend. We have no internet in the clinic just now, it should be back to normal soon. I'm typing on my cell phone which is not ideal.
