T sTands for Tuesday on Monday

Hi Everybody!

I hope you all enjoyed a quiet and relaxing weekend, or a weekend full of adventure and action as the case may be! I didn't do much - visited my friend for coffee, sat on the balcony in the evenings and enjoyed reading and painting.

Today I have another tag for Sandie's challenge at Tag Tuesday - black, white and a spot of colour. You still have a week to enter! I chose an Andy Warhol stencil to make my tag, with a red heart as my spot of colour:

This evening we will also be starting Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T Gang who visit my blog. As most of you know, I drink coffee or cappucccino, and I do like a nice, large mug. The one I have painted here is a bit wonky, but it does hold a lot of coffee, and that's the main thing:

Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!

Hope you are all well and fit, and that you  enjoy your weekend. I'm going to take it easy at the weekend, and that's always enjoyable. And I'm happy to say that the big heat has gone somewhere else for the time being and it's pleasant today, so I hope these temps stay with us for a bit!  Today I have another piece for Chris's 'when we were young' challenge at AJJ. Thursday / Friday post

Hi Everybody!

Sorry I wasn't around yesterday to visit you all - I had an appointment with a cardiologist in Düsseldorf, with lots of different tests and examinations, and by the time I got  back I was tired and went for a nap which lasted for hours. It did me good, and now I'm sitting here drinking coffee to wake up again while I write this blog!

I am sharing another of my ladies. I made another 2 similar to this, but in different colour schemes. This is the one I like best. I will be linking to Nicole's FFO and to Gillena's Friday art:

And I have a mixed media recycling project, made with many layers of scraps and book papers on a re-used carboard substrate. The flowers were painted. I had fun with this one, even if it turned out differently to how I had planned it! This was inspired by one of the Kaleidoscope taster sessions:

New challenge at Tag Tuesday

 Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and this time the lovely and talented Sandy has chosen the theme, which is

Black and white and a spot of another colour

And thanks to Sandie for coordinating and organizing the schedules of who does what when in our TT Team, which is a great help to me. Our challenges always last 2 weeks, and tags of all formats and sizes are allowed, but it must be a tag! My tag shows a corner shop, which were very frequent in London when I grew up, and where you really could buy almost everything. I think the little girl is going to buy an ice-cream. The shops mostly died out when supermarkets and big stores changed the face of the shopping world.  hope to see YOUR tag soon!
