T sTands for Fish and Chips

Hi Everybody!

I enjoyed my long weekend, spent time with a friend, we went out to dinner and apart from that I was really lazy and that was good. I will try to catch up with comments in the next couple of days.

This evening we will be celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, so  here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T Gang who vist here.As I said at the beginning, we went out for dinner on Friday evening and I really had fish and chips, what a delight!

This is my lovely friend Heike showing our drinks - we both had alcohol free white beer as usual:

And here it is - a huge plate of fried fish and chips, so delicious:

Heike ate a 'Schweinshaxe', an oven baked pork knuckle served tradtionally with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes:

And I mustn't forget the lovely salad:

Inspired by my wonderful food, I made this painting for Mia's fish challenge at AJJ. I glued pieces of newspaper around the page, as it was traditionally served in newspaper. I didn't have any English newspapers, so had to use my daily paper:

We have had lots of dark clouds in the past days:

My balcony flowers are all blue and yellow:

On one evening I heard the crows all making a huge noise, and looked out of the window and saw a blue heron sitting in the tree, and the crows kept up their mobbing unti the heron flew back to the stream. They have their young in a nearby tree and were evidently worried. Sorry for the bad photos, shaky fingers are not good for making quick photos:

And some thinkies / funnies:

Have a great week, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Weekend Post.

Hi Everybody!

I have decided to have a long weekend to give myself a rest, so I'm sharing my A3 acrylic painting meant for Mia's fish challenge at AJJ now. My fingers are very shaky, I just deleted the whole post I was writing as I pressed a wrong  button. Here I have a slightly different seascape, imspired by a digital piece I  made sometime in the past. The text reads, 'Don't try to find me, I want to stay lost'. At the moment I feel like that, too! I am also linking to Nicole's FFO and Gillena's Friday fun. Sorry about the poor quality of the photos, we had a dark and dismal day which didn't give the right light:

And this is a tag I made for Wendy's challenge at Tag Tuesday, I forgot to post it. The girl and the pocket were cutouts from a bought set. The icecream cone was made with corrugated card and the ice from some left over bits. The background was part of a page with paint and brushos. The girl and the ice are tucked into the pocket:

And some funnies / thinkies:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Wednesday/Thursday Post

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week is going well! Here we're having strange weather - cloudy and very close, but no rain, at least that's something! Today I am sharing an A3 painting which I am linking to Mia's fish challenge at AJJ and to Rain's TAD, where the theme is colourful June - yellow. The gulls are from a freebie sheet from the Graphics Fairy, I fussy cut and collaged them. I call this piece 'The worlds above and below'. I hope the gulls don't catch the fishes!

As you can see, the last fish is yellow. But there's more to come! Yellow is not really my colour, but I have some artwork with at least some yellow. The Buddha is a hand carved stamp:

The apples are also hand cut stamps:

The cake looks yellow:

And the yummy Pizza:

My fave flowers:

Morning sunrise from my balcony:

Well, if you've made it til now, well done, give yourself a pat on the back and make a cup of tea/coffee or whatever!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
