Weekend Post

Hi Eveybody!

Its weekend, enjoy! We have had some storms again this week. Major storm warnings were issued, but here at least it was just a 'normal' one, but it was pretty bad some places. I have another dotty piece for you today. I think the dots are addictive! This is an A3 mixed media piece, painted with acrylics. I found a scrap of fancy yarn and added it to the crow as feathers. This is meant for Matilde's bird challenge at AJJ

Some pics before the storm started:

Then it started to rain:

And came down really heavily:

And then it was over and the air was cooler and I sat out on my balcony again:

The hole in the road and the 60 meters of damage to the drainage etc is almost repaired:

They are hoping to be finished by the end of the month. This has been going on now for 10 months:

It was very hot while I was out so on the way home I popped into the ice parlour and got a small ice, 2 scoops of my fave bitter choc ice, yummy!

Have a wonderful weekend, take care
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Rain's TAD

Hi Everybody!

It's time for Rain's TAD with the theme of May flowers, birds and pollinators. But first I have a bird meant for Matilde's birds challenge at AJJ. This is another of the strange birds of Balconia by the Rhine, the orange crested Squeaker, so named because it squeaks very loudly, especially when people are nearby. It loves to scare people who are passing by, and jumps up and down in delight while squeaking:

Some mixed media  journal pages made some time back with flowers, butterflies and other insects:

And some recent artworks also with insects:

Some photos from my files:

Raindrops on spiders' webs:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Midweek post

Hi Everybody!

The week has just started and it's already the middle of the week here - how did that happen? Where does time go? I wish I knew!

I am still having fun playing with dots and spots. I made one large piece, which isn't yet finished, but in the meantime I put it into my head. The head was cut out digitally from an A3 painted page and then collaged with the bird onto a blue and yellow painted background. The quote is from psalm 34, an exhortation to cherish life, use your days well, abstain from evil and to seek peace. All things that are so necessary just now. I am also linking to Matilde's birds challenge at AJJ:

Yesterday I walked along the meadows by the Rhine and saw that the first hay has been harvested and bailed - lots of good food for the horses and other animals here:

A thinky:

A funny - a friend in need is a friend indeed:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
