To Everything there is a season

Hi Everybody!

We are having some grey and wet days here, but I still enjoy my walks even under an umbrella, and the rain will be a blessing for nature after  the long, hot and dry summer.

I have another tag for Tag Tuesday where Sandie has chosen autumn colours as her theme. I used a book page matted with various papers as background. The page was coloured with distress inks. The bird was die-cut from a piece of the paper I painted last week, and I used a mix of natural and textile embellishments. The quote is from Proverbs, chapter 3 v 1, 'To everything there is a season and a time for every purpose under heaven':

This canvas was made a couple of years back but fits well to the season. The image is from Gecko Galz, the leaves were painted, die-cut and folded to make them look 'real':

We had some beautiful sunrise scenes:

Loved these little toadstools:

Midweek this and that

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week got off to a good start. Time is flying and  I have been busy. Yesterday and Sunday afternoon we had warm and sunny weather and mostly clear skies in the evening with a wonderful moon. This morning got off to a good start, but was cooler, so more the normal temperatures for October - I'm not complaining!

For Tag Tuesday, autumn colours, I have another tag. I found a lot of Mr Umbrella man die-cuts in my 'autumn' box, all cut from the same painted paper, so one of them was used here. I mounted it onto a scrap of DP, matted with other recycled cards pieces in black and wood-print and sewed them all together with lilac thread. The raven is from Gecko Galz and there to remind us that Halloween is coming nearer....

The moon looks like custom-made for Halloween:

The sunrise this morning was beautiful. I stood on the balcony with my coffee, watching it and taking photos. I saw several flocks of small birds flying by, going south for winter, such a long journey for these tiny birds:

I saw this horse in Düsseldorf today - I wonder if the scooter is there as an alternate form of transport?!

On Monday afternoon I walked with Nathalie to the castle at Kalkum:

I saw the swans this morning while walking through Hofgarten:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
