T stands for a trees and a Trip to Holland for BreakfasT

Hi Everybody!

It's the last day of September and the first day of the Jewish New Year,
so I would like to wish a  good one to all of my Jewish friends and readers.

Joan's tree challenge at Tag Tuesday runs for another week, so you have plenty of time to join in! I have a quick digital tag today, using elements from Serif , Mischief Circus and me  :

And today is time for Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so here a warm welcome to all of the lovely ladies of the T Gang who visit here.

Coffee and peppermint tea here in Kaiserswerth:

And some pics from our trip to Eindhoven (Holland) last weekend:

We were hungry and thirsty when we arrived so we went for breakfast. As you can see, the portions were HUGE, and we ate it all up! This is Nathalie's:

This is mine - an Uitsmijter, and it was very delicious:

We did some sight seeing and shopping there, and had a fun day. Here some photos:

We looked into this beautiful cafe when we arrived, but they hadn't yet started service, so we went back later in the afternoon for some more coffee and drinks:

There was a piece of wonderful, home-made, soft chocolate fudge served with the coffee - needless to say, it did not survive long enough for a photo!

St Catherine's Church spires:

We went into a HUGE shop, I think the biggest I have ever been into. And the people working there - and in all the places we visited - were really friendly, not like in some of the shops in snooty Düsseldorf:

I bought myself one of those huge, grey sweaters - very cosy, and will be great to snuggle into when the days get colder:

We also visited this huge place with rather strange architecture, and there was a textile market going on inside - an eldorado for anyone who likes sewing, with materials from all over the world:

And this sign was in another shop we visited, I will show the pics another day!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Beautiful, endangered nature

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend - enjoy! It's grey and rainy here, but that will not stop me from going for a walk, and I am very thankful for the rain which we need so badly here.

Today I have another tag for Joan's challenge at Tag Tuesday, 'trees' Hope to see some others joining in, too. This tag was made from one of my autumn photos for the background. My balcony black-bird is also there. The other elements were added in Serif. The photo behind the tag is the same one, just faded:

The world around us is beautiful, whatever the weather. We need to protect nature and not destroy it!
Sunrise from my balcony:

Sunflowers and bees:

Even a walk through the mist can be wonderful:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Autumn impressions

Hi Everybody!

Another week is flying by, autumn is stretching  its fingers towards us with cooler temperatures, rain, shorter days and changing colours in nature.
And I like it!

Today I am sharing another tag for Joan's lovely 'trees' challenge at
Tag Tuesday. I used some painted and textured card for the background, matted with some yellow card. I sewed some painted strips on, and added 2 TH branch tree die-cuts. The birds were made with a Martha Stewart punch. The gold Stickles represent the autumn leaves. I chose the title because at the moment we still have a chance to save nature and the world around us by doing something to stop the universal climate change:

Last week I showed this handmade album. Now it is finished and filled with a selection of varied journal pages. I am showing a few here:

The Hebrew text is the first verse of Genesis - In the beginning God created heaven and earth, and the earth was without form, and void....

And I wanted to show a few of the journals I have made in the past few years, at least those that I still have:

Sorry about my feet, my arms weren't long enough to stand farther back!

This Frida Kahlo album is made to be like her blue house:

A Halloween Album:

I am linking to Paint Party Friday

Getting ready to go out:
