Hi Everybody!
Time is flying and it's time for a new post. It's still very hot here, no sign of a break in the weather yet.
I have a canvas (16" x 19") to share that I started some time back, and managed to finish last week. I used structure paste to add texture. The sunflowers were made using pastes through a stencil and then painted in gold metallic paints. The centres were filled with multi-coloured gilding flakes. The flowers on the right are some I picked ready dried from the meadows by the Rhine. The leaves were cut from a sheet of paper, painted with metallics, and partly embossed with Frantage to give more texture. I also used some rusting powder and more gilding flakes to add some interest to the background. In real life it is a little darker, the metallic paints make it hard to photograph:
I am linking to Paint Party Friday, Simon Monday Challenge ( add some sparkle) and That's Crafty, close to nature.
The photos were taken on my early morning walks this week:
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
