This and that

Hi Everybody!

I made another piece (12" x 12") using fresh, summer colours and my fave dragonfly stamp. I have several different ones but this is the nicest from Laurenz and Morgan. The other stamps used are by Artemio, Hein Design and Tim Holtz. I am linking to Paint Party Friday, Simon Monday Challenge, summer fun, and Simon Wednesday challenge, fun in the sun. My idea of summer fun is to be outside, walking through the meadows by the river.

Ans I have another piece made with new, self-carved stamps:

Some photos taken this week along the Rhine and from my balcony:

This was a windy day, my hair didn't look better....poor magpie!

We just had 5 minutes of rain, but it was enough:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

T stands for Add a quote

Hi Everybody!

On Tuesday we are beginning a new challenge at TIOT -

Add a quote.
As always, you have 2 weeks to link to us and projects of all formats are welcome as long as they have a quote added, not just a sentiment.
I made another piece using my dragonfly stamps, this is a set I like very much and bring out a lot in summer. The background was painted with a mix of gesso, pink and blue acrylics and textured with a swirl stamp while still wet. The dragonflies and flowers were stamped and coloured with pencils. I added Stickles to the wings:

This is my last piece for TIOT as I have decided to leave the team there to give myself some more free time.

You still have a week to join in our 'floral' challenge at
I made a hybrid tag using elements from me and Serif:

Tuesday is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday link party, so here a warm welcome to all of the ladies of the T gang. My drink is cola, which I enjoyed in Orsoy last weekend while out with friends. We stopped at the this bright and cheerful little cafe / snack-bar. My drink was coke light:

On the way back we saw these sheep, goats and chickens resting in the shade under a tree:

This chicken was curious, and came to look at us through the fence:

And I saw some rusty statues for Elizabeth:

The beautiful cow pond where we stopped for a last break:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Floral Frida

Hi Everybody!
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

For Tag Tuesday I have another tag. It was put together digitally, using hand-painted papers for the background and a photo of Frida Kahlo, one of my favourite artists. The flowers are from Serif:

And some more pictures from last Sunday's walk....After leaving the botanical garden we drove to the Rhine and crossed over with the ferry. The first 3 pics were taken by my friend H:

After arriving in Orsoy, a tiny, walled town, the first thing we saw was this bee house, which can be opened to look into it:

We walked along the old walls under the trees:

There was an old cemetery outside the walls:

This group of homing pigeons was flying loops:

Loved the colourful cow:

An old 'Lore' - a wagon for pulling coals in the mine:

The view over to the cooling-tower on the other side:

We found a shady seat outside a wayside cafe and were able to have refreshments and watch what was going on in the little town:

And the crows watched us to see if they could beg some food:

The rest of the photos will follow in my next post!

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
