Snowy Saturday

Hi Everybody!

It's a freezing cold day here. We had a lot of snow in
the night, and it's been snowing more this morning,
so I've declared it to be a stay-home-and-keep-warm
day. I'm not as steady on my legs as I was a year ago,
and I don't want to slip and hurt myself. The pics were
taken early this morning; standing in the cold taking
photos in your pyjamas is a great way to wake
up quickly. The snow will probably be gone by
tomorrow!

I have another of my heads to share today. This is
number 6 in this series, and probably the last one for
the time being, but who knows? I did make quite
a lot of other ones in the course of the year, so
perhaps I will put them together to make a collage.
The quote is from Harry Potter  and the Order of
the Phoenix by J.K.Rowling:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

This and that again

Hi Everybody!

Time is flying, once again, and I don't know
where this week went. It's cold and windy today,
so I will be spending the rest of the day at
home.

For Paint Party Friday I have another of my heads
to share. I did an updated version of my avatar -
I gave myself a new dress! The quote is from
Shakespeare's Hamlet:

And I snapped the other side of the street with my
smart phone camera:

And I discovered this photo on my phone when I
was downloading the pics - I must have taken
this wonderful photo of my left foot and
blanket while polishing the screen:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

New Challenge at More Mixed Media

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at
Our challenges are all anything goes, this time
with optional white. Mixed media projects of
all formats are welcome, and you have 2 weeks
to link to us.
I was not sure what to make - white is not really my
favourite, and in the end I cased one of my old
journal pages, just making it larger (A3) this time.
The BG was painted with gesso with a hint of blue here
and there. The image is from Gecko Galz, and was glazed
with Paper Artsy frosting glaze and then sprinkled with
some glitter. The snow balls were made with a puff pen
in white, the stars were in my stash,
as was the glittery reindeer and the sled. The white trees
are TH branch trees. I used frosting glaze and structure
paste to make the ice and snow. The whole BG
was rubbed with ice Stickles.
I am also linking to Simon Wednesday Challenge,
anything goes.

The ice and fog from the weekend have been replaced
with damp, grey weather. I took some shots of the
Christmas decorations in the shop here:

I was pleased to see that the gulls are getting into the

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
