T stands for Colours to keep you warm

Hi Everybody!

Tomorrow we are starting a new challenge at TIOT -
Colourful.
As always, projects of all formats are welcome, and you
have 2 weeks to link to us.
I made an A3 Journal page using the stamp I made
recently, stamped with Archival black. The BG was
sprayed with my home-made acrylic sprays and
I added depth with various stencils. The
sentiment was hand-written. I am also linking
to Art Journal Journey, Chris' '101 ways to
keep warm' challenge - colours make you warm!

Tuesday is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so here
a hearty welcome to all of the nice ladies of the
T Gang. My buddy G recently bought this lovely bottle
of wine. I haven't drunk it yet, I will drink it with my
friend N together, as it was meant for both of us. But I
will  definitely be saving the gorgeous label for crafting!

Last week I made a mandarin orange / sour cream cake.
It was eaten before I got round to taking a photo,
so here is one from the net:

And I have some more pics from the Aquazoo:

I wonder whose legs got into the aquarium?

Some models of tiny, underwater creatures:

My personal highlights were the penguins:

Fish and music

Hi Everybody!

Here's wishing you all a great weekend.
For Chris' '101 ways to keep warm' challenge at
Art Journal Journey I have an 8" x 8" page.
The substrate is cardboard, which was painted
and embossed. The image is a paper napkin
pasted onto music paper, which I sewed
to the backing. I think playing and enjoying
music is a great way to keep warm!
I am also linking to Simon Monday challenge,
it's a stitch up

I have some more pictures of the underwater world
at the Aquazoo:

I'm glad the shark was behind glass!

I wonder how that man got in the aquarium?

The yellow fish liked hiding:

and thank a lot for coming by!

Collage and fish

Hi Everybody!

Another week is flying by, and I am trying to catch
up with myself.

For Paint Party Friday I have a mixed media collage
made some weeks ago. A few months back I
cleared out a lot of old journal pages and
paintings, some of which I cut into pieces and
re-used in other pictures. The BG was painted
and textured with a brayer. I added all of my bits and
bobs and 2 figures cut from magazines,
who are wandering through the maze and
looking at everything. The face in the middle
seems to be watching the visitors....
I did lots of sewing to
hold it all together, and stenciled some diamonds
over it to bring it together. I am also linking to
Simon Monday challenge, it's a stitch up:

Recently I visited the newly opened Aquazoo
in Düsseldorf. It was closed for renovations
for nearly  2 years, so it was great to visit the
refurbished museum this time. In the entryway we were
greeted with a bust of  Theodor Löbbecke,
after whom the museum is named:

The museum follows  educational and recreational
purposes, and is very well laid out:

I loved the fossils:

There were lots of aquariums giving a glimpse into
the under-water world, it was a bit like watching
TV but it was real, and everything was moving:

I loved the colourful jelly fish, too!

More photos to follow!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
