T stands for Home Sweet Home

Hi Everybody!

On Tuesday we are beginning a new challenge at TIOT -
💖Home Sweet Home💜
As always, projects of all formats are allowed and you
have 2 weeks to link your creations to us -
 hope to see you there!

I have a hybrid piece to share today.
I am also linking to Chris' '101 ways to keep warm'
challenge at Art Journal Journey
a place to call home keeps your heart warm!

Tuesday is also Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so here
I would like to welcome all of the nice ladies of the
T Gang.  My fave drink is, as always,
cappuccino:

Recently I visited 'Fischer's Lagerhaus' with G. This is
a place that imports furniture, cloth and decorative items
from the Far East. The furniture is often made of
old doors or other antique wood, there is always
incense burning there, and it's a great place to
wander around:

I love the hand-made tiles:

The Buddha head is a huge fountain:

And these are the last survivors on my balcony:

A lonely little petunia....

Once again we had a spooky moon show in the evening:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Colourful or black?

Hi Everybody!

On the 5th of each month we begin a new challenge at
More Mixed Media. As always, the challenge are
anything goes, this time with optional black.
You have 4 weeks to enter.
For my A3 piece I used black as a contrast to the colours
of the rainbow, which I used here in the reverse order.
The face was stamped with the stamp I recently cut. The BG was
gessoed, and the halo of colours was added with blended
gelatos. The stamped face was then sewn to the BG,
and I added some lines of sewing in the halo.
I am also linking to Chris' '101 ways to keep warm'
challenge at Art Journal Journey, as colours always make
me feel warm.

For Simon Monday Challenge, 'all creatures great and small', and
Tag Tuesday, Sandie's challenge of 'book-print', I have
a tag. The book-print BG was coloured with distress oxide inks
in spiced marmalade, abandoned coral and frayed burlap,
and sewn onto matting in black and coordinating stripes.
The hedgies were die cut, I imagined them looking for a place
under the leaves to hibernate. The quote is from
Ecclesiastes chapter 3.

I didn't go walking yesterday as I was not feeling so good,
but was able to take photos from my balcony. The raven, up at
the top of the tree in the field behind the house, was busy
with his morning toilet:

And I was treated to a front seat to watch the moon rise up through
the tries, making a very spooky glow in the sky:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Flowers and more

Hi Everybody!

For Paint Party Friday, hosted by Eva and Kristin, I am sharing an 18 x 24"
paint pouring canvas made a couple of months back. I was
intending to alter the red flower on the left, as I wasn't
happy with it, but haven't got round to doing it yet.
Perhaps I will alter it one of these days, who knows? I added some
micro-beads to the centres of the flowers:

The moon was surrounded by an icy halo yesterday evening:

Pastel colours to start the day:

And a visit from Mr Heron:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
