This and That on Wednesday

Hi Everybody!

Hope you are all well and fit. We are still enjoying warm, spring
days with blue skies and blossoms bursting out everywhere,
a beautiful season indeed.

This A3 mixed media piece was made at my art group. I painted the BG with gesso and sand coloured paint, which I textured with a brayer. The tulips were added with a napkin, and the dots and spots with a stencil and crapp red.
The German text means: The two  things which give
the soul the most strength  are trust in the truth and trust in one's self.
I am linking to Paint Party Friday and Art Journal Journey
Yvonne's lovely theme of out and about.

Blue skies along the Rhine:

Flowers everywhere:

We had some great sunrise scenes this week, and my fave is
always the half hour before the sun goes up -a great time
to drink a cup of coffee and watch the beauty unfold:

Being outside is really a joy just now:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot f!or coming by

TSFT, Tiot and more....

Hi Everybody!

Tuesday is Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday party,
and we are beginning a new challenge
at TIOT - Botanical.
As always, projects of all formats are welcome
and you have 2 weeks to link up your creations -
Hope to see lots of you there!

At Tag Tuesday - birds and nests - you still have a week
to join us!

For TIOT I made a mixed media spread in my 2nd new journal.
The background was gessoed, and the rest stenciled
and collaged. I added more colour with oil pastels
and a Dyelusions quote:

I am also linking to Simon Monday Challenge, things with wings.

Here I would like to welcome all the nice ladies of the
T Gang.
Last Tuesday I went on a little outing to a chocolate
shop in the old town. They serve drinking
chocolate in all variations in a Paris-type
bistro-cafe, and there is a second room where they
sell delicious chocolate specialities to take home -
truly a little paradise on earth!

A chocolate fountain:

'Give in to your longing for chocolate without complexes
or false shame. Remember, no sensible human being is
without a spark of madness'

I had a white chocolate flavoured with espresso:

My neighbour had milk chocolate with peppermint:

'Chocolate is a feeling of happiness which is touchable,
understandable and above all edible'

Hope you enjoyed your little outing with me!
Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

It's weekend

Hi Everybody!
It's weekend, the sun is shining, flowers are
blooming and the trees are starting to turn green -
who needs more?

For Tag Tuesday, Wendy's lovely challenge of Birds and nests,
I made a second mixed media 10" tag, using partly peeled
corrugated cardboard, painted with gesso and collaged with
 a beautiful Japanese napkin that
I was given, stitching, some art-grass and some natural bits.
I added some mother of pearl flowers, glued on with
silicone glue, and gave them centres of
liquid pearls.

I made this card for a friend, using mirri-card for the
background, so had to take the photo from a strange
angle so as to avoid reflections:

And last but not least. a large, mixed media tag with
some digital mermaid additions for Go Tag Thursday,
where the theme is nautical
A wonderful sunrise:

More photos from my walks to and from the clinic:

Love these flowers spilling through the fence onto
the pavement:

Have a great weekend you all,
take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
