Weekend post

Hi Everybody!

This has been a good week, but a very strenuous one,
and I am looking forward to a restful weekend.

For Paint Party Friday and Art Journal Journey, Yvonne's lovely theme
of out and about, I have a mixed media A3 page. The background was
painted and textured with a patterned brayer, and the image
was cut from a magazine called Geo.
I added some painted strips and
feathers to her headdress, and more painted strips for the quote. I used
a stencil to paint the dots with a sponge.

At Go tag Thursday the theme is to use a quote or
verse. I made a mixed media tag, using an image from Gecko Galz,
and some natural materials as embellishments. I am also linking to
Tag Tuesday, hats and headgear:

The photos were all taken 'down by the riverside'
in the past days:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

This and that

Hi Everybody!

For Paint Party Friday, hosted by Eva and Kristin, I have a large
mixed media piece in A2 (24x17") which I made
recently . The background was painted in red, with blue and purple accents added on with a textured brayer. I added lots of paper
fragments and some gold leaf. The heads were cut from white paper,
painted, stenciled and collaged.
The flying figures were added with a stencil and black Edding pen,
highlighted with white.

I m also linking to Art Journal Journey, Yvonne's lovely theme
of out and about.

A few photos from the past couple of days:

Love this bench, the sign says 'reserved for nice meetings'

Have a great day, take care,
and hanks a lot for coming by!

T stands for Tuesday, TIOT and more

Hi Everybody!

There's a lot going on again today, so I'll start off
straightaway.
On Tuesday we are starting a new challenge at TIOT -
Lady in red.
As always you have 2 weeks to join our challenge,
and projects of all formats are welcome.
For my DT piece I paper pieced the evening dress for my lady, using
scraps of handmade paper, which I sewed together. The verse written
around the decoration at the top is from Hillaire Belloc's
'Cautionary Tales'. I loved his work as a kid, and still do.
The background has been paper pieced out of squares
cut from a dictionary:

Today is Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday, so a hearty welcome to
all of the nice ladies of the T Gang.

This is the lovely Francesca who always serves my cappuccino:

Sorry, no cake this week, I am too exhausted just now to even
think about baking!

Some photos from my Sunday walk:
