Music and childhood memories

Hi Everybody!

Hospital news.
Well, things are getting better by the hour! The pains are less, and I can walk more easily, today I did over 400 steps, and it is such a relief to be able to walk to the bathroom unaided! So. Now back to the scheduled post.

For Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love,
I have another hybrid page. The background is a photo taken near here. I added photos of my Mum and Erika as children, and lots of Beatrix Potter's figures.

These photos were also taken in the station at Krefeld, and I am sure that many people, big and small, have happy memories of things like this:

Hazel's challenge only runs for one more day, so you need to be quick if you want to take part!

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

This and that

Hi Everybody!

News!
I had lots of rather torturing physio sessions, and had to
have a series of X-rays taken for which I had to get into positions like a prima ballerina, not easy. Now I am happy to be doing nothing. Sooner or later it will be better!
Have a great weekend. Now back to the scheduled part.

For Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love, I have a hybrid page using one of my  photos as background

The photos here were taken in a neighbouring town when I visited there some weeks back. They show the main station, a beautiful, Art Nouveau sandstone building, which was renovated a few years back.

I loved the modern stained glass windows in the main hall:

Faces

Hi Everybody!

After a bad start to the day yesterday, things
got better bit by bit, and I was able to walk 20 steps with my
Crutches and to sit up and stand alone - good progress. The myriad of tubes have all gone, now it can only get better day by day. Now back to the scheduled post!

It's Friday again, so it's time for Paint Party Friday,

I made a Van Gogh 'knock-off' this time, and placed him on a painted and patterned background. I think it is quite a good likeness, although I did not get the proportions really correct. I used water colours, pastel chalks and Gelatos.

My blast from the past this week is a rather horrible face made back in the 90s:

And I am missing my lonely walks along the Rhine:

Have a great day you all, take care
and thanks a lot for coming by!

The rhythm of the night

Hi Everybody!

News:
Had a bad day on Tuesday, with lots of awful pains,
and got lots of medis which knocked me out. And
even worse, the WiFi was down, what a catastrophe!
I get all of my tubes pulled on Thursday, which should also bring
great relief. Thanks for all the encouraging messages, will write
when I have more strength.

For Art Journal Journey, music is the food of love, I have
another hybrid page. The background is a Van Gogh copy I made with pastel chalks and white pen. I digitally added the mask and the silhouette of the little girl and bird.

And these are the sights I am missing just now:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

My fave pet

Hi Everybody,

Hope your day is going well.

Today we are starting a new challenge at Moo Mania and More, my fave pet,
and I have altered a photo of my wonderful dog Scruffy. Projects of all formats are allowed, and you have 2 weeks to join us, so hope to see you there!

And this is what I am looking forward to seeing when I get back home:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Birds, coffee and a face

Hi Everybody

"Breaking news."

The Op went well, I am still connected to various tubes,
Now I just need to heal. Thanks for all the good wishes!

Another scheduled post today, meant for Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love,  99 faces, and Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday.

I painted the bird with acrylics onto a piece of DP along with  a green face, which was ghastly. So I chopped off the green face, added another of 'my' faces digitally, and that was it. The text is from the Beatles' beautiful song.

A big hello to all the T gang!
I'm sharing my coffee once again.
Carolyn sent me this photo , so I think it's a great motto for me for this week!

And I hope to soon be up and running and to be able to visit my wild geese and ducks again!

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Flee as a bird

Hi Everybody!

By the time you read this I will be in hospital,
so this is a scheduled post. I have  posts scheduled for the rest of the week, but will try to add something to them if and when I am up to it!

Here is a hybrid page meant for Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love. The song title is actually 'Flee as a bird', but the F is under the mask!

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
