The rhythm of the night

Hi Everybody!

News:
Had a bad day on Tuesday, with lots of awful pains,
and got lots of medis which knocked me out. And
even worse, the WiFi was down, what a catastrophe!
I get all of my tubes pulled on Thursday, which should also bring
great relief. Thanks for all the encouraging messages, will write
when I have more strength.

For Art Journal Journey, music is the food of love, I have
another hybrid page. The background is a Van Gogh copy I made with pastel chalks and white pen. I digitally added the mask and the silhouette of the little girl and bird.

And these are the sights I am missing just now:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

My fave pet

Hi Everybody,

Hope your day is going well.

Today we are starting a new challenge at Moo Mania and More, my fave pet,
and I have altered a photo of my wonderful dog Scruffy. Projects of all formats are allowed, and you have 2 weeks to join us, so hope to see you there!

And this is what I am looking forward to seeing when I get back home:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Birds, coffee and a face

Hi Everybody

"Breaking news."

The Op went well, I am still connected to various tubes,
Now I just need to heal. Thanks for all the good wishes!

Another scheduled post today, meant for Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love,  99 faces, and Elizabeth's T stands for Tuesday.

I painted the bird with acrylics onto a piece of DP along with  a green face, which was ghastly. So I chopped off the green face, added another of 'my' faces digitally, and that was it. The text is from the Beatles' beautiful song.

A big hello to all the T gang!
I'm sharing my coffee once again.
Carolyn sent me this photo , so I think it's a great motto for me for this week!

And I hope to soon be up and running and to be able to visit my wild geese and ducks again!

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Flee as a bird

Hi Everybody!

By the time you read this I will be in hospital,
so this is a scheduled post. I have  posts scheduled for the rest of the week, but will try to add something to them if and when I am up to it!

Here is a hybrid page meant for Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love. The song title is actually 'Flee as a bird', but the F is under the mask!

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

The two Fridas

Hi Everybody!

For Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love,
I have some hybrid pieces using images of Frida Kahlo.
Frida has been stamped onto a painted and textured background. The birds, flowers and music were added digitally.

In this one I was once again playing around with lace....The background is a photo from Gill - thanks a lot! I changed the colour, placed Frida onto it and made her a lacy double as I was thinking about her painting 'The two Fridas'.

After the snow shower yesterday - the snow was gone by the time I went out!
Mrs B looks hungry, as always.

Down by the Rhine it was very misty today, with a fine drizzle which got me soaked very quickly:

The next posts will be scheduled, but I hope to be able to add something myself as soon as I am feeling up to it. I will get round to visiting you all again as soon as possible!

Have a good week, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by.

A bit of this and a bit of that

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend - have a good one!

For Art Journal Journey, if music be the food of love,
I have another hybrid piece. The background is a photo of a spider's web full of raindrops- I added the other creatures digitally.

For 99 faces I have digitally altered a face  (no. 69) I painted some weeks back and didn't show because it reminded my of a cousin I never got on with!
Here I have placed her digitally on a different background
and given her a lacy mask. I am having fun experimenting just now:

The minutes before dawn are always the best time of day for me:

After that, the weather was just grey in grey, and we even had a snow shower, which thankfully didn't settle:

My most frequent visitor today was Mrs Blackbird, who shouted at all other birds - including her hubby - when they came near 'her' food.

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
