Vintage post boy

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend, enjoy it!

For Art Journal Journey, post and postage I have another journal page.
I used one of the freebie backgrounds from Astrid (Thanks!) which I have used several times before. I added an image from my stash, some postage stamps and some stamping done with Archival black. It looks like the little boy is carrying love letters.

I love this house with the hollyhocks

This house is from the 12th century, and is the oldest one in the square

The rose was not only beautiful but had a wonderful perfume

The cut straw from yesterday has been baled already

This little rabbit was sitting quite peacefully till a big, black dog arrived, and then it moved with the speed of lightning

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

It's Friday again

Hi Everybody!

Another week has flown by and it's Friday already.

I have a journal page for Art Journal Journey, post and postage, which I am also linking to
Paint Party Friday, hosted by Eva and Kristin, and to Kim Dellow's Friday Face Art.

This is the last page made with Al Hirschfeld's Comedian stamps. This time it's Abbott and Costello on show, and I am sure many of my fellow Oldies
will remember them well. I drew my version of them using a broad Edding pen on A3 paper. The quote is from Lou Costello. The hardest part was drawing the check pattern on Lou's jacket!

Today started off with a wonderful sunrise

I enjoyed my walk through the fields and along the Rhine:

The shore and meadows are full of wild flowers:

A trap for the unwary - sometimes it's good to look where you're going and not just through the camera lens:

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

More post

Hi Everybody!

We had another hot and sticky day here,
but tomorrow should be cooler - I hope so!

For Art Journal Journey, post and postage I made another A3 mixed media journal page. The background was painted with gesso, and textured with a swirl stamp. I coloured it with titan buff and used some red DI to distress the edges of the image. The 'letters' were cut out and placed over each other. I gave the butterfly a coat of crackle paste.  The lady looks as if she is thinking about something, perhaps she is waiting for a special letter....

Waiting for breakfast:

This pigeon was sitting on top of the horrible statue on the castle ruins:

It's relaxing to just look at the water

I enjoyed sitting watching the boats

Another pigeon with a good vantage point

I love the shapes here at the corner of the hospital roofs

This is the bread stall at the Wednesday market, they sell gorgeous bread,
rolls and cake.

Wednesday Mix

Hi Everybody!

We had a very hot and humid day today - I suppose it saves going to the sauna.
Hope your day went well!

For Art Journal Journey, post and postage, I have 4 smaller pieces to show today. I mostly work on A3 size, but discovered these 6x4" pieces in a box labelled 'Unfinished' so I decided to finish them. I started them 4 years back. They all have torn paper collaged backgrounds, are painted with gesso and distressed with DI. I added the images and some fitting stamps.

On my afternoon walk I went through the fields and enjoyed the wild flowers growing there. The deadly nightshade flowers and fruits look  beautiful but are not to be eaten.

The blackberries are almost ripe:

The yellow flowers are beautiful:

And the apples are growing....

Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
