Hi Everybody!
Sorry that I have been missing for so long, I was not up to writing a post or doing much at all. As you know, I have been ill for quite some time, and the death of my sister made me very sad. The family of my sister didn't tell me that she had died till a month later. But they did send me a video of her funeral, so that was something. I needed some time just to think about everything. I will try to post once a week in the next time, and then possibly do more when I can.
Today I want to join in Nicole's FFO, it has been so long....
These are faces which I have recently had on my FB account, so I can re-show them here.
I hope you are all doing as well as possible, and I will try to get round to visiting everybody, but it might take a bit of time!
So glad to hear from you Valerie, and so sorry about your sister's passing. Lovely face. -Christine cmlk79.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Christine, hugs!

I'm so glad you posted. I'd been very concerned about you. My deepest sympathies for the loss of your sister. I'm sure it came as quite a shock and I'm glad you have taken some down time -- and of course hope you will do more if you need to. Please take care of yourself. Loss can be so very stressful. Biggest hugs.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jeanie. The bad news on top of being ill was just too much! Nice to be back again!

ReplyDeleteHowever, I was sorry to read about the loss of your sister, my condolences.
Do please take care, take time and look after yourself.
All the best Jan

DeleteSo lovely to see your name in blogland again but very sad to read about your Sister, I hope the time you have taken to process the events that happened have helped you. We all need to take time for ourselves to heal in many different ways. I hope you have been kind to yourself?? Wonderful to see your wonderful faces I do love the quote you used alongside your green eyed lady.. lovely indeed but not as lovely as seeing your name again. Sending healing (((Hugs))) Tracey xx Please take care of yourself x
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Tracey, and thanks for your loyalty and friendship. This has been a bad time, but IÄm hoping things will now be easier! BIG hugs to you!
DeleteIt is a very happy day, Valerie, to see your return to blogging, along with a whole collection of lovely ladies to please the eye. It’s just like old times! My fantasy world is alive and well, fuelled by the master instigator of Balconia-by-the-Rhine, that erstwhile spot of ornithological discovery. I hope that you continue to gain strength and grace us with your presence more frequently. Weekly seems just about perfect. We’ll have our Valerie fix and you won’t overtax yourself. How is our dear friend, Heike? I hope that she too is well and that you are able to join forces and go out to eat. Pass on hugs and kisses from me. Stay well, drink cappuccinos, eat sausage, slurp pasta, take walks, pass on my greetings to the Canada Geese, enjoy life as best you can. Hugs and kisses - David
ReplyDeleteHi David, it's good to be back with lovely friends like you. I missed you! But I needed a break to concentrate on myself and find my feet again. Heike is well, and we still enjoy eating and drinking cappuccino. Today I'm staying home, it's very cold outside, so here in my arty kitchen or living room I feel good. Glad you liked the ladies, of course I posted them for you! Take care of yourself, dear David, hugs to you and Miriam. xxxxx
DeleteSo lovely to see you here back in blogland, I've missed you! I was so sorry to hear about your sister, I hope the time off has helped, sending you heartfelt wishes ❤️. Your faces are so pretty and colourful - love them! Take care and sending healing wishes! Hugs, Jo x
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Jo, it's so nice to be back, nd it's great to see you all again, I felt so out of the loop, it's like having a supportive family here, thanks! Hugs!
Delete...Valerie, it's wonderful to have you back. I sorry about your health concerns and the passing of your sister. Your beautiful ladies are a treat to see. Happy Valentine's Day, take care and be warm and well.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much, Tom, you words have warmed my heart, and it's great to be back again! Happy Valentine's Day to you and your lovely family! Hugs!
DeleteDear Valerie, I'm so glad to see you back in this space, I've missed you. This has been and probably still is a tough time for you. I'm sorry about the loss of your sister - this might also be a loss of part of your childhood in England. I wish for you that you will get much better healthwise and that you will find some comfort in creating your beautiful art. Take good care of yourself, my friend. Big hugs - Carola
ReplyDeleteThanks Carola, it has indeed been a hard tie. My sister was oldxer than me and always looked after me when I was a child, so she was a BIG part of my childhood, and now there is just a big hole, and that makes me sad. But I know that time heals, and it's good to have friends here. Thanks so much, hugs!
DeleteI’m very sorry to hear that you have been ill and have suffered the very heavy loss of your sister. I’ve been worried about you (as I commented on your previous post a few days ago) as you have mentioned your long illness before. Thank you for returning to the blog world, and I hope you’ll find a little solace in expressing yourself here.
ReplyDeleteI hope you’ll do enjoy your own home and your friends again.
