This and that for Monday

Hi everybody!

The weekend is over, let's see what the new week  brings!
It is also the last week of our Frida month, which has been a lot of fun for me, and I am enjoying seeing all the variations of Frida which other people have made, just fantastic!

Today I am sharing a Frida collage I made a couple of weeks back. The background was painted with acrylics. I used some of the images and scraps which I found on my work table, which in the meantime has actually been cleared and tidied. I used a photo of Frida as a child, cut out and surrounded by flowers and an owl. The quote is from Frida.  I finished it with washi tape, a scrap of lace and some doodling. I am linking to Art Journal Journey - Frida.

Today was very cloudy and rather windy, and I had fun watching the clouds changing, building up and scudding across the sky.

We are expecting lots of rain tomorrow, so I'm happy that the skies were blue today.
Have a great day you all, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

  7. A super page, I don't think I've seen a picture of the young Frida. Fabulous cloud pics and I'm sure your halo has a touch of sparkle too after tidying your work space. I feel so much happier for doing mine, it has certainly cleared the mind! Have a happy Monday. Xx

  11. Beautiful ideas again on your Frida page Valerie. I am sure she would have been happy amidst the things that you added to the page.

Lovely sky pictures though the water looks a bit rough and even the birds have escaped from it onto the rocks.

Hope the rain isn't as bad as you thought it would be. We have an awful forecast for today and it is raining but I am ever hopeful that summer might come back :)

    Love Chrissie x

  12. What a fascinating collage, love the way you manage to co-ordinate all the bits and pieces together and that is a very pretty washi tape with the roses.
These cloudscapes are fabulous, especially the second one which looks by the dramatic colours as if it was photo-shopped (I know it wasn't).

  15. Valerie, I have never seen Frida photos when she was a child. Thanks for sharing this journal page. The photos of the clouds always intrigue me. Our clouds the last few days have been huge and fluffy like cotton balls. Have a great week. I'm off to pull weeds in the yard today.
