Tuesday This and That

Hi Everybody!

Today I am sharing a small - 8 x 6" journal page for Butterfly's challenge at AJJ, this will be my last one for this challenge. This was a piece of scrap-paper with a gelli-plate print on it. I sometimes make these to use up left over paints. It looked like a country scene when I looked into it, so I doodled some of the things I could see in it. I didn't like the dragonfly after I had stuck it on, but couldn't get it off again without tearing the paper:

And I have another of my book-print faces, which I collaged onto an image from an art magazine. I added some sewing and some dots using structure paste through punchinella:

The weekend weather was very mixed with clouds, rain, thunder etc, but no damage this time. In Belgium the heavy rains caused havoc again, so awful:

I recently showed this photos of the meadow behind our garden:

This morning the farmer came along with his tractor:

After half an hour all of the flowers were gone, so sad!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

T sTands for a new challenge aT Tag Tuesday

Hi Everybody!

Hope you enjoyed your weekend and I wish us all a good and safe week!

This evening we will be starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday, and this time our lovely and talented Pinky is hosting, with the theme 'Flowers, floral' You always have 2 weeks to join us, and tags of all formats are welcome. Hope to see YOU there! The challenge goes live on our blog at 9 p.m.

I made 2 small  and narrow tags, as I need them as tags for birthday presents. The background papers are from Gecko Galz, the card from some recycled cards and the rest was in my stash:

This evening we start celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, so here a warm greeting to all of the nice ladies who visit here.
I am showing some photos of a trip to a little place near the border to Holland:

I just had cappuccino, my companion had a pot of coffee and 2 slices of cake:

On the way back home we stopped again and had plum pancakes, yummy!

There was a delightful little chapel there:

Between the two coffee and more breaks we walked along a stream and then round a lake:

A damselfly that would not keep still!

Weekend Post

Hi Everybody.

It's weekend, enjoy! Here life goes on as always. The repairs to the street where I live are an ongoing project, they have to replace 60 meters of drainage pipes in the canalisation, and this will probably take months, as the special pipes they need have to be made to measure. They're hoping to be finished by the end of the year....  And we have new, heavy rainfall and storms forecasted for the weekend.

Today I have another piece to share, this time a collage, inspired by a fun lesson by Barb Nicholson in the art is magic course from last weekend. The background of my A3 piece was painted and collaged with some tissue. The face from a magazine was painted over, and I chose to work in shades of green. Then I added the fussy-cut eagle and the flowers and bee. I am linking to Alison's country summer challenge at AJJ:

I treated myself to some sunflowers:

My motto is always 'live in the moment'. So I'm wondering why my sign has been wrong for months and I didn't notice it. Sometimes I think we see what we want to see:

Now it's right!

The giant building site is here to stay for a few months:

The Nile geese made the best of the flooded meadows:

Looking towards the river from the Churchyard:

On this day last year I took an evening stroll through the fields and saw these lovely creatures:

Have a great weekend, stay safe from floods, Corona, fires, storms  and  whatever other catastrophes might be about.
And s always, thanks a lot for coming by!
