Monday / Tuesday post - what makes me happy # 9

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I was extremely tired after not sleeping well all week,so yesterday I  had a good sleep and carried it over into Sunday, and slept half of the day again.  And it did me good!

Today I am showing one of my heads - yes, I have a lot! And i will be linking to Matilde's challenge at  AJJ

For this one I used a hand-painted background and head, which I popped ito my Serif craft-artist programme, where I added the man in black - I think he was from TH -, and the eyes, cut from a magazine and colour-changed. The text was also cut from magazines, and the little head on top of my head was made several years back. And how the white flower got onto her nose remains a mystery, I have no idea, but now it's there for keeps! Sometimes I like making things just for fun!

And I have some thinkies and funnies:

Have a great, new week, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

Weekend Post - what makes me happy # 8

Hi Everybody!

It's nearly weekend, hurrah! This has been a busy weekend with lots of appointments at doctors and at the dentist, on top of the usual things like Physiotherapy etc, so I'm happy that it's Friday and that most of my exams and tests are finished. It's a wet, wild and windy day here, so I'm staying home and going to have a play day - painting, reading, eating, drinking coffee ....sounds good to me!

For Matilde's 'what makes me happy' challenge at AJJ I have recreated a piece I painted long ago. I took one of my van Gogh knock-offs, made lots of copies, and placed them over each other to make a sort of pyramid. I put 'my' eye in the middle:

And for Sandie's travel challenge at Tag Tuesday I went back home to London - I wish! I hope lots of you will join in her challenge, you can choose any form of travel and /or any destination....

I am re-showing some pieces from 2020, as they make me happy. And we really need light in the world just now, and in the heads of many politicians:

And a mish-mash of  Thinkies, Funnies, David Zinns etc.

Have a great weekend, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

Midweek Post- What makes me happy # 7

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all got a good start in the week and are feeling well and happy ! Today I am sharing a face made a few weeks back, She seems to like colours as the scarves - or feathers? around her head are bright and beautiful. I made her necklace from a piece of coloured twine, twisted round a few times and then knotted and glued on. I am enjoying trying different things. This is of course meant for Matilde's 'what makes me happy' challenge at AJJ:

And a few thinkies / funnies:

Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

What makes me happy # 6

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all had a good weekend, and I'm hoping we're all going to have a great week . Today I actually have something to share that isn't a face - can you believe it? Today I have a large canvas - 50 x 70 centimetres. I rescued it from a fate worse than death in the garbage, somebody had just put it out and I was there to rescue it. It had evidently been painted a few times in various colours, and then covered in stickers. I wiped it off, gave it a base layer of cream coloured paint, and then just had fun playing with colours, scribbling, not having to be careful not to smudge etc, and this was the result. I know it's not everybody's cup of tea or coffee, so don't feel bad if you don't like it! I am linking to Matilde's challenge at AJJ.

Heike was not feeling too bad today, so we went for lunch at our fave Pizerie. Heike had a lovely pizza and I had my usual penne with salmon in tomato-cream sauce, yummy! The weather was mild and we were able to sit outside:

I hope to get my next post up on Wednesday, I'm having to reduce my blog time for the time being.

Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
