Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend - enjoy!

Today I have a tag for Sandie's challenge at Tag Tuesday, where it's all about sewing, stitching and dressmaking. I used to do a lot of sewing and knitting, but old age has put a stop to it - these days I only sew on paper and cardboard!

And I am sharing another piece made during the Wanderlust taster sessions with our lovely Kim Dellow. Mine is rather different, but it was still inspired by her! I had fun with these simple paintings using acrlics on A3 paper, with lots of mark making and scribbling - very enjoyable!

I am also linking to Gillena's Sunday Smiles!

Have a great weekend, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

Friday Post - FFO and more

Hi Everybody!

I can't believe how quickly time is flying by. I was really knocked out when I got home yesterday, it was a busy day. I had an early appointment at my doctor's, which meant getting up at 6 a.m. - not my chosen time! I had lots of tests for blood-work etc, an ECG, and more.... I have had a very painful attack of sciatica for more than a week, and every movement hurts! And then my home-help came and we got my apartment ship-shape and then went shopping at Aldi. After that I had to go into Düsseldorf, which is always loud and crowded. I had an appointment by the the acoustic specialist for the last checks on my new hearing aids. All went well there, and I am very happy with them. It's great to hear well again, what a blessing.  Then I travelled home by tram , which was very crowded, but a nice girl gave me her seat. It's wonderful that some people are friendly and helpful. By the time I walked home along our street and climbed the stairs I was just totally finished. So I had a coffee, chocolate cookies and some pain killers and went to bed.

Today I have a piece for Chris' 'where in the world' challenge at AJJ. I used an old canvas which I 'stripped' some time back , and added postcards which relate to various places - I am sure you will know where in the world they belong:

Have you guessed the four countries?

And I have some faces for Nicole's FFO and Gillena's AFFF:

This is a face I posted on my blog this week:

Hello, I'm smiling at you:

Looking after the family:

Back to the 1960's when I was acting in a play at the town theatre in Scunthorpe - can you find me?

This was in the 80's, another photo-booth picture. I was making a face because it took such a long time and I thought it wasn't working:

That was a trip down memory lane for me!

Tuesday Post a few hours late

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge at Tag Tuesday,  and this time our lovely Sandie is hosting. That's the lovely lady who sorts our challenges, and who always makes sure that we know what's happening - THANK YOU!  Her theme for the next fortnight is
Sewing, Stitching or Dressmaking

I hope to see lots of you joining in, it's a great theme, and Sandie has created some wonderful examples to get you going. You can see them on the Tag Tuesday blog here. We accept all sorts of tags, real, digital,  or hybrid, but it must be a tag. You have 2 weeks to link to us.

I have called my tag 'sleep sewing', because the lady in the shop who should be sewing and mending has fallen asleep in the corner....

And I have some funnies / thinkies:

Have a great day, take care,
And thanks a lot for coming by!

T sTands for do your own Thing

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all had a good weekend. I rested, did some reading, bought some new books via Amazon Kindle, and spent a lot of time painting, amongst other things this lady with wild hair. I sometimes get fed up with always making things for challenges and just need a break and time to do my own thing or have my own fling, whatever!

This evening we will be celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday Link party, where we meet up with ladies from all over the world and show what we have been drinking or doing etc. So here a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang who visit here.

Picasso evidently liked coffee:

I can't find most of the pics I took this week, so just a photo of my cola-zero while waiting for Heike:

And some more foody/drinky pictures:

I couldn't be bothered to cook so mostly had fruit with a mix of creamy quark and jogurt for lunch:

Those seem to be my shoes on the floor:

And a coffee collage:

A few thinkies:

This was just my feeling this week!

I only drink Cola or coffee, but the rest fits:

This weeks flowers - a small vase, but beautiful:

Happy T Day, have a great week,
And thanks a lot for coming by!
