T sTands for This and That

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all had a good weekend, and I wish us all a good, new week. I was once again out and about with my friend Heike, and somehow we landed at various cafés and a Pizzeria  - more later!

For my anything goes challenge at AJJ I have an 8x8" piece made with leftovers. I did some stitching, but my machine keeps making ominous noises, so I kept it to a minimum. The face of Leda from da Vinci was stamped on tissue and fixed with art podge. The other embellishments were UFOs which were flying around my table The edges were rubbed with distress ink. The background behind it is a sheet of painted paper which will soon be shown for another project:

This evening we will start celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday, so here a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies who visit here. My drink can be seen in the tall glasses.

On Saturday we decided to try a Pizzeria which has recently been enlarged and refurbished. It is pleasantly decorated in light, neutral colours and is a great place to eat:

Heike is saying Prost to you all - we drank our usual non-alcoholic weizen beer:

We started our meal with warm bread and garlic butter:

Heike had a salad with tuna and ham, but I forgot to take a photo. I had a Pizza Prosciutto, which was enormous - and delicious. Heike was kind and helped me to eat it!

All gone!

And last but not least, some spring beauties:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Sunday Post

Hi Everybody!

Have a happy Sunday!

For my anything goes challenge at AJJ I am sharing a portrait made recently. Once again I have included some of my favourite elements - spots, golden leaves and little flowers. And a third eye. Today my lady has blue eyes instead of green, which I mostly use. She was painted on an A3 page with acryl paints:

And some signs of spring:

And some funnies:

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Saturday Post - birds, berries and cake

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend already - enjoy! I'm planning on having a lazy day, only doing things I like, such as reading / hearing books, painting and perhaps a couple of walks, and I hope you will all find good things to enjoy, too. I am sharing a hybrid journal page, mostly put together from my bird photos. They were digitally cut out and placed on a background which is the window to my balcony, I just changed the angles and colours a bit. And the background behind the background is a photo of one of the walkways here. I love making things like this, but don't always have the patience. I am linking to my anything goes challenge at AJJ:

Heike and I went shopping on Friday afternoon and took a half hour time-out at Café Schuster to strengthen ourselves. Cocoa for Heike, cappuccino for me, and delicious cake with lots of berries on it, yummy!

My cake - above - had cream cheese in it, and Heike had cream with hers:

My challenge at Tag Tuesday is also about birds, here I have a tag with an owl (stamp from LaBlanche). I embossed it with 2 colours of embossing powders, and used a gold pen for the leaves:

And while we're on the subject of birds....
I often make these little birds from paper scraps, they make nice little presents and book marks, and are quick and easy to make:

So, that's all for today!

Have a great weekend, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
