Midweek post

Hi Everybody!

It's midweek already, where does the time go?

Today I have an A3 mixed media piece inspired by a lesson from Tamara Laporte:

And my journal page for my doors challenge at AJJ is about Narnia. For those of you who have neither read the books nor watched the films it begins when 4 children - Lucy and her siblings - are evacuated to a huge, old house in the country during WWII. While playing a hide-and-seek game Lucy wants to hide in a giant, old wardrobe; opens the door, and finds the portal to Narnia....Outside in the snow you can see Mr Tumnus, the fawn, and a talking mouse:

Some photos I took during Hanukah - I love the candles against the night landscape outside:

A hugE mug filled with cappuccino:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

New challenge at TIOT - snowflakes

Hi Everybody!

Today we are starting a new challenge  at TIOT, and our theme is

❆❆ Snowflakes ❆❆-

For my piece I made an A3 acrylic portrait of a reindeer with lots of snowflakes falling around him. I used shades of blue and green as I like  these colours, The page was inspired by a lesson from Tamara Laporte:

After a while the reindeer got fed up with standing around and being admired, so he wandered off, and tried to fit through a door that was too narrow for him. He got stuck and was then admired by even more people. This is meant for my doors challenge at AJJ:

And perhaps he's still there, who knows?!

Some photos taken on a wintry day:

T sTands for This and That

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend! I spent a lot of the time sleeping, I have no idea why i was so tired, so I didn't get much work done.

This evening we are celebrating Elizabeth's T sTands for Tuesday link party, so here a warm welcome to all of the nice ladies of the T Gang who visit here. I have made a hybrid piece for my 'doors' challenge at AJJ which is also meant for the tea-party. I altered a photo taken of one of the pretty shops in Zons and added some characters to it. The ladies on the left are having fun and enjoying a meal and a glass of wine. The others are looking into the shop windows or walking past. But there are also a few strange creatures, can you find them?

Some coffee-related photos:

And please help yourselves - short bread, black and white cookies and some home-made chocolates:

And I have a tag for Sandie's 'Use the first letter of your name' challenge at Tag Tuesday. I used a photo of a window and some images of Victorian ladies:

Some thinkies/funnies

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
