Weekend Post

Hi Everybody!

It's weekend - enjoy!

This has been a strange and rather stressful week, with appointments to keep, trams that were always too late, stupid people who come too near, having to go to court to make a statement as a witness, and having no internet for 2 days. On top of that I had giddy spells all week, which did not improve my over all mood - it can only get better! That is always my big consolation in weeks when everything goes haywire.
But in between I had time to do lots of crafting, which somewhat soothed my shattered nerves!

These are some of the pages from my second junk/scrap journal.
The first is a very colourful collage, with lots of splats and splodges and some grass green washi-tape added. The diamonds were added with a stencil
I am linking to Simon Monday Challenge, splats and sprays:

The second one is also a collaged magazine image with added splats in red and black and some splodge and scribble diecuts:

The third one was just collaged bits and bobs and a snarky quote:

And I have some photos from my walk today:

I love these little corners:

Lots of beautiful flowers everywhere:

Apples peeping over the wall:

I see this hand bell-pull day for day, and I love it:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Back on line!

Hi Everybody!

I'm happy to say I'm back on line after nearly 2 days 'without'. Now I know it,  I can't live without it. I'm an internet junkie! No phone, no TV, no computer, no skyping - aaaaaaargh! But, I survived! Vodafone evidently had  damage to a part of their glass-fibre cables, so this whole area was 'without'. Every neighbour I met in the house or on the street asked the same question - 'Is your internet/TV down, too?' Anyway, it came back on just in time for the evening news, so that's something.  Thanks to all who commiserated with me!

I have  another tag for Wendy's 'feathers' challenge at Tag Tuesday
I used another piece of an Amazon envelope from one of my bit-boxes for the substrate. It had already been treated with structure paste and paint. The dream catcher has been on the go for a year or so. I started 2 and only got the larger one finished, but remembered  that it was there and finally got it done. Here it is on my tag:

And I have a double page from my second junk/scrap journal which I am linking to Halle's 'Stitch in time' challenge at AJJ.
There is a clock in one of the roses to remind us to take time to smell them, and I stitched the bottom of the 'bride's' dress with some gold thread.

I am linking to Paint Party Friday

And a few more pics from my new balcony plants, I just love them:

I will try to catch up on your blogs tomorrow!

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Internet down!

Hi Everybody!

Sorry, no post today,
Vodafone has gone astray!

I will resume normal service as soon as  the connection hast been restored. Hard Times - no net, no mails, no computer, No TV, no nothing!

Back soon - I hope!

Take care and have a great day!

Midweek Post

Hi Everybody!

Hope your week is going well. Here it's still warm, and was cloudy all day - but still no rain. Perhaps tomorrow?! We shall see!

Today I am sharing more pages from my scrap / junk journal, 'Without rhyme or reason'. I have now used more than 2 thirds of the scraps, and by the time I am finished the second album will be full, too. And at the end of the month, less than 2 weeks , it will be time to fill a black sack with the leftovers!

These 2 pages are different but have a time theme, so I am linking to Halle's challenge at AJJ:

Lots of faces here:

I don't really like this one, but it's too late too change it:

There are some family photos on this one - my mum is on the right page, and the other 2 photos are people I never got to know. By the time I got the photos nobody could tell me about them:

The doll on the left page was a freebie many years back from Mannon Popjes, for the left side I used a scrap of muddy, marbled paper and some stencils to draw the outlines:

More leftover bits and bobs:

And more photos from my balcony:

Today the 'flower-man' was at the market, so I bought some more pots of lovelies:

A hover fly came straight away and enjoyed fresh pollen:

Lots of birds circling overhead:

Some young deer on the meadow near the Rhine, evidently looking for food. They don't often show themselves during the day, mostly in the evening:

And some pics from the park:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!
