Monday mix

Hi Everybody!

Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. I took a day off on Sunday and stayed home, did various necessary chores in the morning, cooked a tasty soup for lunch and spent the afternoon crafting and watching 'Lewis' on TV at the same time. And it was an enjoyable day!

I have another journal page for my challenge at AJJ. For those of you who are fed up with geometric shapes there are just three more to come!

This is a hybrid piece using a hand-painted background and some geometric shapes punched digitally in Serif. The eye of Horus, the bird and the cat Bastet are my drawings:

And I have another tag for my anything goes challenge at Tag Tuesday.

Have a great new week, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Sunday post

Hi Everybody!

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend as much as possible under the circumstances. It was cooler here today, and started off grey and cloudy, but in the afternoon the sun came out again.

For AJJ I have another hybrid journal page for my geometric shapes challenge. The background was hand painted, textured and dripped. The silhouettes were added digitally and the sentiment is from Leonardo da Vinci:

Here at home I have done a lot of reading, thanks to Kindle I have as many new books as I want. And I have been sewing more masks. They are not perfect, I am still having difficulties with my fingers, but they will do the job. And I am using up lots of recycled scraps, which is good. I have given away more than 30, and have more now for those who still need them:

And flowers brighten my day:

Have a great day, take care,
and thanks a lot for coming by!

Never stop looking up

Hi Everybody!

We had another warm and sunny day here, but still no rain, so everybody's hoping that some moisture will soon come our way and water the fields and trees which are suffering under the drought.

For my 'geometric shapes' theme at AJJ I have another hybrid journal page. The background is one of my van Gogh knockoffs, drawn with pastel chalks on a background painted with blue acrylics. I digitally added the sky disc of Nebra, a beautiful artifact found near Nebra in Saxony.
